Installing windows 7 from within xp

I don't know if this has been covered but it should be useful for people without a dvd drive or flash stick, or just can't be bothered burning disks or faffing around with bootable usb's


Partitioned my xp drive into two using partition magic
Downloaded windows 7
mounted windows 7 iso in xp using poweriso

open mounted drive, setup and choose partition to install, install did the rest, rebooted pc and carried on installing.

Cheers, didn't realise you could do that, will save me burning to disc everytime there's a new build.

and the great thing is if the drive is formatted ntfs then you won't lose any saved files on their either,
