Refuelling ban confirmed for next season

The FIA has confirmed a ban on refuelling from the 2010 season, the governing body citing cost-saving reasons for its introductions
"It was confirmed that from 2010, refuelling during a race will be forbidden in order to save the costs of transporting refuelling equipment and increase the incentive for engine builders to improve fuel economy (to save weight)," said the FIA in a statement following a meeting of the World Motor Sport Council.
The governing body also confirmed that tyre blankets will be banned from 2010 and that the ban on other tyre-heating devices will be maintained.

Am I missing something here? Are they going to shorten the races then - drivers usually go in to refuel 2/3 times per race don't they?

I just watched some A1 F1 racing from the full Grand Prix circuit at Brands. Great cars, my favourite circuit and frankly more enjoyable then the F1 fiasco!!

Fueling adds bit of excitement into the race

If they ain't allowed to stop for fuel then they should have to stop once to produce a poo in a designated layby. Overalls off, helmets and boots only 100 meter dash to a glass portaloo. Points for firmness etc.

Stop and literally Go Paddock Poo is where the actions at.

F1 is shit fullstop. All the rules changing, safer cars etc.

What was wrong with sitting down with your mid afternoon full breakfast, looking forward to some nice crashes and drivers taking lumps out of each other.

Wish I could go back in time and watch the F1 in the eighties/early nineties.
