might gets as just a good deal and can return it with no hassles. Personally would never buy ram from ebay too many cow boys out there
The Scan My System will tell you what you need or pick the Model of HP you have let you know exactly what you need
Bought this RAM and tried it earlier my PC comes on then flicks off again and reboots, did it about
5 or 6 times before i put my old RAM in.
Am i best off sending it back?
how many did you buy? try with one stick a time see if you get same results but as i said ebay has always being a no go for me when buying ram too may fakes /faulty ram that are poorly and cheaply made and pretty much luck if you get one that works.
Pay that little more and get good results every time with crucial
Never once sent ram back and used them for about 4 years.
yeah some ram just dont like some boards period no matter what you do, when i bought my very first DDR-2 board and ram would it fuck let me install windows, failed at the same stage every time, i drove 100 miles there and back to take it back to the shop and they said they would test it, of course i thought they were gonna say fuck off its fine.
But the guy brought me in the back and showed me HIS pc failing at the SAME stage mine did, he replaced the ram and it was perfect.
also about crucial ram m8 its gaurenteed for life, so u cant go wrong, let it scan your pc and it will tell you what to buy as TotallyRandom said about it scanning your system. i doubt the ebay seller will be so receptive as to swap or refund, but if u dont get it going its worth asking.
ram is cheap enough these days from reputable sites without having to go to ebay

Tried one stick at a time with same results. Emailed the people i got it with spec of my motherboard
etc. See if they say its compatible, gonna see how it goes from there.
True - I had a stanger one - an ex asked me to upgrade her laptop ages ago - bought the right ram, no joy. Shop swapped it for the same, no joy. They were good enough to swap for two different makes - still no joy. They asked me to bring it in to make sure I wasn't doing anything stupid - same story. In the end they pulled some out of one of their laptops which worked, I took those and they took the new ones.
Can't fault the service, but sorry can't remember the shop name (somewhere in manchester city centre)
