Default Tips needed - Shooting taekwondo indoors with crap light....

    As title,

I am taking a lot of pictures to get out club website revamped and the action shots i am taking are a bit hit and miss.

I have a Nikon d80 with an 18-200 VR lens and an sb600 flash with one of them big bulb diffusers that i can put on the top.

When the flash went off it worked quite well but i got a lot of dark picture that were still to grainy to use once it had put them through Aperture, i admit that i did find a hidden Auto ISO setting in the camera menus that i have since disabled.

What can i do to get more success....?

I will post some pictures to go with this post later on so you can see what i mean...

    Thanks
    Mac

Up the iso as high as you can without graininess by firing some test shots. Use flash as well if possible but bouncing may be difficult as I am sure the roof is probably high??? If grain is a pain have a look round for a copy of Noise Ninja as this can work very well to reduce noise at high isos.
