Is someone hacking my daughters phone?

Hi Guys, when my daughter sends a text message it says on the display "message sent to "bert", who happens to be her ex. this happens quite a lot, but not all the time. The message however gets delivered to the person she has sent it to. She is with T. Mobile and they say it is not possible for anyone to have enabled a duplicate message to be sent to him...... But, can it be possible? Any help from you guys would be appreciated. Many thanks Bob

if you are worried do a factory reset on the phone, better still reflash its firmware.

Maybe someones changed some of the name entries to bert?

some phones have an option in the message settings where you can set a default number to always get a copy of the message. Saw this on a phone a few years back, cant remember what phone it was. Dunno if more recent phones have that option.

Send a text to someone speaking about sexual health problems and the possibility of having some really nasty shit, if he gets a copy of the text then you'll know as she'll probably get a frantic phone call!

if it is a symbian phone then it is possible, software is readily available for these phones to send duplicate messages, record calls, send gps location etc etc

stick the sim into a simple phone like a nokia 3330 and enjoy
