Question Best Place for Film Processing?

Was just wondering if any of you guys knew of a decent place (online or offline) to process 35mm (and occasionally 120mm). I use peak Imaging (mainly for 120) usually and they're pretty decent but it does kill the wallet a little bit.

The local asda in southgate has recently converted their photo processing part to a digital only section, which is fairly irritating. Otherwise they were fairly good,

Looking for places that could do a process only and then a scan to CD?

    Thanks in advance

Boots is ok i guess, it always kinda puts me off that they charge £2 to put stuff on a CD and you can't get them to put more than 1 roll of film on a CD.

I've heard good things about tescos as well (price wise) - will have to investigate later today

I am investing in a home negative scanner, am going to get my films to the negative stage then scan them in. If I need to get any print out then I use Club35, or Jessops but as I have done no more than 5 in the last 4 years cost really is irrelevant to me.

what kind of negative scanner are you looking into? I wouldn't mind getting one but a decent one is fairly costly plus i'm not sure how time consuming it is (but if you're going to mess with film i guess everything is going to be time consuming)

i went to tescos and development only is £1.19 and a CD is £0.99 so it comes out about £2.28 per roll (regardless of size) - bargain! Going to see the results tomorrow (probably awful).

i've bookmarked club35 - seems like a fairly good site for prices (are the results pretty good too?)

I am looking at getting one those ones from Ebay, nothing spectacular but I will be able to scan it as DNG and tweak it further than just a straight jpg which you get from the major developers. I think they are about £60 delivered. Yeah it will be time consuming but it will really be a winter project, as we have a whole hep of old photo's from way back that i would like to scan and keep digitally.
