Default Sky HD Box/Remote Problem selecting AV channels

Ok, here goes, bear with me as I;m finding this hard to describe.

Now I am running HD, I am using HDMI as opposed to SCART. Now when the box was installed and the remote setup with my TV I was at work and didn't get to see what went on. I'm on my 3rd HD box so I'm assuming the problem is to do with programming the remote control.

After I've been abusing one of the consoles for an hour or two, i previously used to press the 'SKY' button once, sometimes twice and it would activate the correct AV channel and put sky back on the screen. Now the batteries went flat and I had to re-enter the number for my TV and since this day pressing sky did not restore my viewing.

I found this page and followed his instructions but all that happens now is the remote pulses 5 times to move the AV channel on 5 places instead of one pulse and setting it to AV5. Has anyone got a comprehensive remote manual or know what the correct programming is for hooking up correctly to a Sony kd40W3000 with AV5 used for Sky?

tbh m8 none of my boxes automaticly switch to correct scart of hdmi channel if the box is already on, the only way mine do it is, if say i'm watching BBC1 on normal tv and sky box is in standby, i can press the sky button and it will automaticly switch to scart (if in one of my bedrooms) or HDMI 2 if i'm downstairs on HD box, but if box is on and i'm on BBC1 etc then i have to manually change channels on the tv to the correct sky channel

Finally sussd it after about a 2 hours trawl of av related forums on the net. the HD remote has the ability to run macros from the buttons throughh a programming sequence which on a sony set means it willl automatically jump to the desired AV channel depending on which macro you use.

    information

    Information

    press TV on skyHD remote
Hold select and help (at the same time and the red light on remote flashes twice)
press help an wait 3 secs ( repeat until you find the correct AV input you want, 1st press is sequential macro so be sure to wait until the AV banner disappears before pressing again, AV5 was mine and it took 6 presses (seq, AV1, AV2, AV3, AV4, AV5) And there are a total of 18 different macros to choose from )
    press select

    Then...
    press tv
hold select and green (red light on remote flashes twice)
press help once (nothing should happen)
    press select to store.

Then when you press Sky, TV Guide, Box Office, Services or Interactive button, sky will auto switch to the correct Av

Hopefully this will help anyone with a sony set and Sky HD so they can ditch their sony remote and just use the sky one
