    Default Road trip randoms

Had a couple of pints with lunch on Sunday as the wife offered to drive us home from Wales. So rather than just fall asleep, snore and generally annoy her, thought I would keep the camera to hand and snap a few shots. Especially as I have been meaning to get some shots of the new severn bridge for a good couple of years now. What follows are just a few highlights from our 2hour 15 min jounrey. The whole set can be found here on my flickr stream. I wrote the notes to each image on paper as I took them.

The way home on Flickr By Matt Fryer aged 36 1/2

    Very nice VW split screen.

The severn bridge taken hanging out the window.

What's better in this shot the lambo or the clouds?

Like a scene from a horror / sci fi movie

    Enjoy.

Matt, when you say several pints, how many was it...... there certainly was some randoms in the set

Liking the clouds and the split screen, but I get the feeling of under exposure. The split screen can wear it thanks to the PP, but the other two, although moody and I like them, they just are a tad too dark for me.

Just a couple. Honest. Don't forget I deleted about 50 that I took.

Honestly mate the cloud ones are pretty much SOCO, I did darken the black and white one a little to add a sense of impending doom, but the sky did go very dark for a brief moment.

You can and have. Seriously though it's a closely guarded secret preset I made for lightroom.

    Oh beer......

    Spoiler:
Ok, the attached file is a lightroom preset template, just unzip and install. To install simply right click on the preset tab on the left when in develop module in lightroom. If you get stuck google installing presets. The preset is inspired by trip to the OC a year or so ago, hence the name and orange tint. One thing I should modify is the post crop vignetting, when it was developed it was only in v1 which had no post crop vignetting function. One day I will do that..... Enjoy.

Excellent cheers for the share mate! Just a sniff of beer does it

I've never used any lightroom presets before so it will be good to have a play with.

    Thanks again,

The VW shot is a cracker Matt. Love the split screening you have done and with the vignetting, it just seems pefectly right for such a vehicle.

I love the dutch tilt in the bridge shot. Again, it works exceptionally well and I like the reflections in the bonnet of the car. Great stuff.

Again, in the Lambo shot, I like the tilt and those clouds look particularly ominous however I would have liked to have seen all of the Lambo. The slight bit of car missing is a touch distracting.

Another classic road shot in the last one. The B/W works nicely however it is a touch too dark for me and I would have preferred the nose of the car cropped out and is that a reflection in the windscreen just above the P in your watermark?
