Default Very old PSP that won't boot from Jigkick

As per title - got a PSP here that will not boot from the jigkick(works perfectly). It's an old PSP that had version 3.4m33 on it. Only thing I've managed to do is do an emergency recovery and get it back down to 1.5.

When battery inserted - light comes on as usual but as soon as it tries to read the mem card - it switches straight back off.

Memory card works normally for other purposes.

    Any ideas?

Try recopying the files for the jigkick on the memory card. Maybe if the files are corrupt in some way this is how the PSP will react. I'm not too sure though.

I agree is sounds like the Memory Stick is not right, just got a PSP program to rebuild the MS.

It works fine - unbricked 2 before and 3 after this one - restores them with no problems.
I will remake the card and try again just for sanity's sake. It's an old 1000 jap model.

Update on this in case anyone is interested. On this PSP it will allow to boot to the 1.50 restorer. From then I can manually install up to 3.52 M33-4.
Anything higher gives "Some of your idstorage keys have not the correct values, probably due to a downgrader. In order to continue, press x to restore the correct values, press R to exit."
If I allow it to continue - it says successfully fixed - then runs through the update(4.01 or 5.00) as normal - then switches off.
Then will not switch on - same problem as trying to boot pandora.
But can return to 1.50 again and start from scratch.
I'm guessing it's something to do with those key values but I am lost and can't find any info about it.

Just to reiterate though - the pandora and battery work perfectly fine in any other PSP.

I'm giving it back to my mate with 3.52 M33-4 on and let him worry about it - but if anyone does have a solution to this in case I ever see it again or for somebody elses sanity, please post.

When on 3.52 M33, have you tried clearing all of the flash? As in flash0-4. That may sort out your idstorage issue.

Cleaned flash one as that's the only one it offered me the chance to do in recovery menu - didn't make any difference - the jap site was a bit too unclear to be honest.

    Cheers guys.

Cheers - I've sent it back now but I might get it back from him to play with - it really really wound me up.
