LITEON KEY

ive been trying for about 2 hours now and i just cant seem to get the key off my liteon i have a ck3 and probe i keep getting warning serial data is bad any ideas would be great thanks

You using via card? Have got the portio drivers installed properly?

Have you got the tray out half way properly?

I was getting this on all drives trying over usb even tho all the above was spot on and that was with my kit I had done absolutely loads of drives with before. Have since switched to serial port on my pc and every one working fine, maybe try serial if you have one.

I did have and still couldn't get the fucker to work properly - and as above I done loads before, not changed anything just lent my via card and ck3 kit out when it came back I could not get it to work at all just got that bad serial data error

yeah i installed them but it just isnt showing me a usb under com 3 or com 4 it says rim virtual serial port v2

That be it then try diff com ports or use the ck3 tool and get that to query your ports to see which it is.

in DVDKey32 you got it set to usb and not com 1??

no it has the option of com3 or com4 but when u run ck3 tool to find what the usb is on it says no usb devises connected for both com 3 and com 4

unplug the usb form the back of your pc reinstall the driver make sure you get the xp one for xp or vista one for vista after it's installed plug the usb back in the pc it should find it then

i have a feeling the usb is broken on the ck3 pro cos when i plug it into windows i dont even get the sound it makes when u normaly put a usb in

ok i guess then i will need a pci serial card and wire ?

Silly question, but you do have a molex plugged in? The ck3 isn't powered over usb. Also make sure it is switched on!

yeah done all that personly i just think i got one with a faulty usb

you have a serial port on the ck3 you just need a 2m 9 Pin Serial / RS-232 Extension Cable M-F: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo
i think im sure someone else will know exactly what you need

i no but i dont have a serial port on my pc so i think i might need to buy a pic serial card
