Need a new Samsung ms28 - what now?

Got a knackered (flashed) Samsung ms28. Tried a new laser, and no joy. So am gonna get a new one from shopneo. What else do I need?

I don't have the original firmware as it was already flashed when I got it, and I have a CK2, (which I'd previously used to flash a hitachi OK). What do I need to do guys?

if you have a smasung thats flashed and buying a samsung just swap the drive motherboards over and sorted

good call...as i was told many moons ago when i was in the same situation.Also (as i was told) the ms25 and 28 boards are interchangeable.

Yup, Ms 25 and 28 use the same hacked firmware.

oh cool, so just take off the board thats attached to the laser yeah? Lets just say thats where the problem lies, then what?

if the board is duff you will need to put the original drive key on the new board and flash it but i doubt the board is duff did you remove the solder spot off the new laser when you fitted itt?

yes removed the solder spot. I've ordered a drive from Neo, will see how it goes, no doubt I'll be back in this thread if its still got issues, thanks guys.
