My order from DX

Hi guys looking for some advice on this,I made a order from dx and it shipped on 21st june and i still have not received it i have ticketed them etc and got the usual wait a little while longer,the thing is received yesterday a seperate order that shipped 6th of july,but i'm still waiting for my first order,the thing is how long shall i wait ? or should i file a complaint to payapl as this is how i paid for the order.i have ordered loads of crap over the years from DX and VR and even at xmas only waited 3 weeks max and this is now taking the pi$$,any advice Guys and girls...? I've had goods delivered in 5 days from the Far East but I've also had them take 2-3 weeks and this end has been slow lately with the knock on effect of postal strikes, hang on until the weekend then tear them a new one!

Cheers guys i have re-ordered the parts im really in need of lol.it might be the 2 lock knife's that are holding it up in customs maybe or the flint sticks lol,they are for the boys scouting nothing dodgy and lock knifes are perfectly legal to import and have on your person,Ie his mum or i will keep it and he will be given it on camp where a scout leader looks after them unless needed.

The order was placed 2nd of june mickey and actually shipped 19th june,leaving hong kong 21st of june,so total of 6 weeks from placing order so far ...lol

Lock knives are not legal to have on your person!

A lock knife is not a folding pocket knife and therefore it is illegal to carry around such a knife regardless of the length of the blade. A lock knife means a knife which is similar to a folding knife, in that there is a spring holding the blade closed. However, a lock knife has a mechanism which locks the blade in position when fully extended, the blade cannot be closed without that mechanism being released. A lock knife is not an offensive weapon per se (because these knives were made with a specific purpose in mind and not as a weapon). However, possession of a lock knife in a public place without reasonable excuse is an offence.

bang a claim in with paypal stating you have been asking and they will not give you any help. I tried and tried with them once to get them to sort something out. Was only when paypal got involved did they actually do something. In the end paypal paid up. Goods never came.

mate been waiting since December last year for a card and bits for my DS, contacted them they said they'd look into it and then the black hole nothing, tried Paypal waste of time, they just ignore my emails, thats the risk I guess with non UK traders..


To be fair though I have bought a few bits before that and they all arrived in good time....reluctant to buy from them now though..

They've improved delivery times quite a bit from last year. If it shipped on the 19th then it may be held up at customs due to the lock knives. The last few orders i've had they've all arrived within 2-3 weeks. I'm guessing you got the date it left Hong Kong from the hong kong post website, then surely that shows DX have sent the items and now it's down to the post.

yeah got the shipping dates from hong kong post,Simate as stated the knives are for scouting/camping so that would constitute a reasonable reason to have them in possesion as he will only be given the knife when he is on camp and would not be kept by him other then that time as is his previous kife

Thats true, but in the DX delivery note it will Say as usual "GIFT" which probably means customs have them!

honest opinion - probably not if knives were involved.... could call customs as maybe you gotta pay import tax on it ? ..... or could leave it incase they try and do you for knife importation.....

swiss tony the knives are not illegal mate and i dont mind paying import duty but that normally collected by dhl/post office when they deliver or it was when i got stung from a delivery from lik-sang a long long time ago ....lol
