[FS] Acer Aspire One

For sale, acer aspire one, 120GB hard drive, 1.5GB ram. Model A150Ab Blue in colour.

I've owned this since last Dec and it's been great. Only selling as need a bit more screen real estate so have moved up to a 12" machine.

The machine is currently running as a triple boot OSX10.5.6, Windows Vista Home and Windows 7, although the windows 7 beta has expired and it currently shuts itself down after 2hours use ! (needs a newer version installing or an expiry hack) All 3 os's run really well on this machine (currently typing this ad in vista). I can strip out whatever you don't want.

I have upgraded the ram to the maximum 1.5GB.

The machine is generally good but used condition. Everything works as it should. The battery holds a good charge and the screen is bright and clear with no dead pixels or other anomalies. The keyboard shows a little wear from daily use but still extremely good. There is a tiny 'ding' on the edge of one of the USB ports but not really noticeable.

I replaced the standard atheros wireless card for a broadcom one which works NATIVELY as an airport card in mac osx (and also fine in windows). The old card is included in case you want to switch it back.

I'm almost certain I have the box. Otherwise the only other accessories are the charger and the slip case.

This has been my MAIN machine for general browsing sat at the sofa for over 6 months and hasn't missed a beat, and ideally I would keep it to take away with me on trips, but it needs to go to part finance the new machine.

Looking for £120 including next working day delivery ovno

Possible swaps for anything interesting (inc. unlocked 3g phones ?) but cash sale preferred.

Payment ok via bank tx (3 working days) bank dep over the counter at your local Nationwide (1 day) cash on collection, cash in post. Paypal ok if you pay fees.

I have the exact same model and i must say its probably the best thing i have ever bought, i usually buy gadgets and after a bit of a play they just gets shoved away somewhere but my aspire gets used every day

Yeah I already have one from when we had the massive asda thread on here but the wife stole it so I needed my own
Anyway recieved today malty not checked it out yet myself mate as I am about to shoot off down to birmingham so will have a look tonight.

OKey Dokey mate cheers, I have had time to unpack it and take a look at it now, have to say im very happy its mint and the pictures you posted dont do it any justice that worn out space bar looked quite worn on the pics but its not even noticable in real light!! Also the mark on the USB slot is bugger all cheers malty its great. Id definately recommend anyone else buying anything from this man as its totally mint.

OK I had a go at this today malty, got my own distro of iAktos v7 as its the latest so thought what the hell. Anyway I managed to get it all installed ok and I am currently typing this on it now, however the only problem im having is the Graphics card problem that a lot of people seem to have, I did follow a guide on that forum that you linked me to did a load of reading and it went smoothly except after the reboot it was supposed to load up this chameleon boot loader which it didnt so anyway I installed that via kext helper b7 and did what it asked me to do to remove the Intel GMA950 files but it never worked.

So I have seen a couple of other ways of doing it but again im still stuck at this crappy 800 x 600 Resolution, is this something you would have any idea how to fix? I did repair the permissions after doing the kext install too incase you were wondering.

Dont think ive done too bad considering I have never used a mac in my life before today!
