Web host

Hey all was asked to help out and record mates band.

Was looking to make a wee web site for them will all the tracks that i have recorded so they can all hear them
Tried to upload these too youtube but failed as they are not videos

were would be a good place to host these for free?

Depends what you want from the site. Recommend you look for something that allows you to have php/mysql, as then you can use a "popular" CMS package to make your site, unless you're going to code it all yourself. Also, if you're putting up MP3's, you need to ensure the host will allow them - some don't, amazingly enough, and check the amount of diskspace, many freebies limit you to 10mb or so, which obviously for mp3's isn't a huge amount of space.

If anyone knows of a host that does this great - I can't help any more because I have my own dedicated server, so its been years since I've needed a web host, sorry.

Yeh thats mainly my problem cause its .mp3 most hosts i have tried have reject them

I use http://servage.net they allow all content

if you decide to go with them ill give you a referal link and it gives you more space n bandwidth.

You also get a free domain

Nice one mate thanks for the offer will need to sepak to the band and let you know as its for them not really for me.

thought there would be a free place around that would alow this sort of think but like youtube but for audio tracks.
