Yeah the one a Fontburn reservoir up here looks alot more vicious than that. sure they have a rather long drop for the water to hit the turbines.

I've been passed the one at Ladybower in the OP when the water level was low and so it was 'out of use' and dry. As a result you could see the stepped sides, and from the higher pathway could see it disappearing down a little further, looked fookin scary.

they got them at greenfield resevior too.. up near oldham... you only ever see them in flow over the winter months though
