Anyone got Pandoras Battrery?

One of my mates has asked me if I can hack his PSP for him when he gets back from offshore a week tomorrow.

It's a slim PSP-2003, does anyone have a pandoras battery that I can borrow for a wee while, don't need it till Wed/Thurs next week. If anyone can lend me one that would be great.

AFAIK, you can still hack the PSP slim with pandoras battery?? Been out of the scene a while.

I do beleive only certain slims can not be hacked, it will either boot with the pandora or not work. I think it is the TA-088 v3 that does not work.

Ok, cheer mate! Not sure what one it is, he just said a slim 2003. Do you still check by opening the UMD drive and looking in the top?

there are a load of tutorials and posts in the forums to help you identify if the PSP is hackable. if it is and depending on the firmware it currently has on it, it might be hackable without a Pandora.

Cheers mate, cant say anything about the hardware till I see it next week, but I can almost defo guarantee it has the newest (or one of the newest) FW's on it and will need Pandora's battery.

Right, quick update, got his PSP yesterday, and it turns out to have a TA-088v3!!

AFAIK it's not possible to properly hack these to make them boot backup ISO/CSO files, only run homebrew. Just want to check, is this right, or has it been fully hacked and I've just not come across the right info?

Also, FAO XBOX4LIFE, will get your Pandoras Battery sent back to you on Monday if peeps confirm the TA-088v3 is not hackable (yet).

What firmware is it on?

If it's 5.03 or below you'll be all right

Cheers mate! He is on 5.03, just want to double check, if I use the program in the link will it be a FULL hack that allows it to do everything a hacked PSP can.

Also, if I were to remove the battery, will the hacked FW stay, or will it revert back to the official FW like when using the ChickHEN TIFF exploit?
