    Default Hiding my IP

Any reputable software I can use to hide my IP?

I got banned from a forum. I thought a mod and I were just exchanging banter. It seems I was sorely mistaken. lol. I emailed the admin. He didn't accept my apology either. I am disappointed as I enjoyed the site, but I guess they were strictly business. No Jokes!!!

I want to rejoin and be a contributing member. But I know they have the banned member software that flags up IP's. So I wanted to hide my IP and be as well behaved as a mormon house wife. If this is against the rules, please don't ban me, I couldn't take another one.

Any good one's that don't fill your comp with shit? And that actually work. I haven't tried one in years, but when I did, it never seemed to hide my ip.

I am using "hidemyass". Is that legitimate does anyone know?

    1. get a copy of access diver
    2. google up a few lists of proxies and put them through access diver,
    3. should tell you which ones are working and whether they are completely anonymous.
    4. when you've found a proxy you're happy with drop it in to firefox or ie and away you go, any site you go on from then on will go through the proxy.

All because of unreasonable admin and mods. lol

I used to be an admin of a very popular site. And modded on several others. I'm sure I had a sense of humour?!?! lol

    Cheers guys.

You will find most forums block free proxies, unless you are on a static IP then just reset you connection and make sure your IP has changed, clear your cookies and try. I doubt they have blocked your range as it's a common ISP but depending on what other methods they employ they may catch you out in future as happens on here if people give you reason to check then you often find enough info to confirm identity.

I won't be giving them reason. I'm not going to try to have a personality. Just be very straight. Get the info I need. and help out others.

I am not on a static at home. But I am at work, and so are lots and lots (in the 10k's) of other people. A lot of whom I know visit this site. Do you think any of them will get kicked?

i would imagine they probably have a duplicate IP checker so depending on the works UP range it could flag up and they would look to see if the user was a new user etc to confirm or discount it being the same person.

They could IP ban the range but that would be clear as soon as you tried viewing from the works IP address but this is what I mean by if they find reason to check in future they could well find enough to identify you IE: works IP say 15 users on the same range Home IP 25 on the same range but only your IP matches to both.

I would also guess when they ban they check recent new members IP's for a week or so due to most banned members rejoining within the first week of the ban.

The problem with using a proxy is probably like me when I see someone join with a proxy straight away I think they are either a returning banned member or a spammer so keep a close eye on them.

I just want to get information from the forum. And in exchange try and give back what I can. I didn't mean to cause problems. Everyone should get a second chance.

Well... I don't know if I can promote it on here. It's a tech forum too. So I think probably not.

I basically want it for the information on consumer electronics, and the fact a lot of their rich members sell as new kit for second hand prices. Which is handy.
