Parking Ticket

The Mrs got a parking ticket yesterday. On the ticket it says that her car is green. She has a blue car and there is now way that it can be mistaken for green. The warden also noted the tax disc serial number and expiry date, which he also has wrong.

My question is, can I appeal and get it quashed as due to the errors on the ticket?

Certainly worth a try, good quality photographic evidence will help. I had one quashed because the yellow line was so old and worn.

always worth a go mate, if they have got the details wrong then i dont see how they can say its your car for definate

Most parking attendants have cameras with them these days to prove you were parked there so even though he may have copied down some details wrong and mistakenly wrote green instead of blue the photo will still show the car parked illegally.

Pay the ticket and tell the mrs to be more careful where she parks.

Those are minor details so I doubt you will get it quashed with them. It isn't like the reg. no. was wrong.

Yeah I know, they use them in Slough and they will have a picture of her car but i'm still gonna give it a go.

Out of interest where abouts in Slough was it parked?
Anywhere along the High street is asking for trouble.

I was parked out side a friends house in Chalvey, at night time there are no restrictions, I'd only ever been to his house at night. In the day you are only allowed to park down one side of the street with a tiny sign at the top of the road to tell you. I got a ticket for parking on the wrong side of the street even though I was the only car parked down that road and wasn't causing an obstruction. The parking attendants are cunts in Slough

I'm sure I read that if the line is broken at any point or not correctly terminated, then it is not a valid road sign as defined by the road traffic act and therefore no offense has been committed as there is no marking.

I've had loads of tickets due to a restriction in place outside my house, they made the same error over the colour of my car which makes no difference because they have pictures, I still appealed on that basis to buy me some time and make them do some work. In the meantime I did some research and found a discrepency in the parking bay layout, which they have now changed grrr but it got me off a few. http://www.ticketfighter.co.uk/ really helpful, lots of examples to compare your case!! good luck!!
