Just got a chip which I will be fitting later this week. Just wanted to know which brand of disks people recommend single & dual layer.
Thanks
I personally use verbatim+ r's single and dual layer and never have any problems
I've used the cheaper discs in the past but they can be hit or miss especially the dual layer ones
I also use verbatim +r's but as only two games use dual layer discs I have never had to try one.
Well i recommend Hard Disks, a WD320 should suit you and you won't have to worry about bad burns, scratches or storage !

Pidata 16 speed burnt at 4 speed never any problems...imho
ritek g05 disks for most games for dule llayer verbatin+r and check the layer break settings
I have done my mod and tried some TDK DVD's I already had and these seem to work fine. Only DL'ed one dual layer game so far so not bought DL disks yet.
As I have hard modded gone do some more research to see if I can still use a HDD as this would be my prefered method.
Thanks for all the advice.
i bought a wii off pizzaman way back and he absolutely INSISTED that i ONLY EVER used datawrite greys and id never have any trouble.
I bought some and they worked great, but ive had other wii,s since and use ritek G05 burned at 4x and they are great
Through the darkness of futures past. The magician longs to see.
One chance out between two worlds. Fire Walk With Me.
Search the sellers site for G05 site.
Most DVD-R sold on the high street are very hit and miss. Sometimes they work sometimes not. In my experience I would echo what other guys have said here and go for a good quality G05 dye disk.
Of course the softmod sticky is the best way to go if you can do it. All my games reside on a WD Passport USB powered HD now and they are very quick loading etc.
verbatim do seem to be the best out there and have never failed me
