Default Burning games off a HDD?

A mate of my bro's dragged off some .iso files he was launching off a HDD and I've burnt them to disk to play on my system.
They all start to load up and then sit there sounding like it's trying to read the disk. If you press eject a message pops up saying "please insert ......... disk"
then after a couple of min I get something about an error has occurred, please remove the disk and restart.

my other games work fine. I'm using cios r14 and Neogamma R7
I have tried the previous versions of each with no luck.

Is there something else I need to be doing with these iso's?? they are all different sizes and I thought they were supposed to be a set size or something??

You will need the original .iso files that are 4.xx gig in size, then burn to DVD. When Wii Sports is copied to a HDD using WBFS Manager it is actually less than 2gig, but the original iso is 4.xx gig.

I've extracted a few iso's from my hard drive for a mate using WBFS Manager 3 and burnt them to disk no problem, the WBFS Manager packs out the .iso to the right size.

What size are the .isos, mine come out at 4,589,824

    Regards

I think the OP is just dragging the files off the HDD and burning them rather than extracting them correctly. Hence the different file sizes he is burning.

I see what you are saying but how is he getting them off? only WBFS mangers can read the WBFS partition? Didn't think you could just drag and drop.

Maybe the manager he's using isn't extracting correctly, have to wait for keyamon to get back to us, and see what manager was used.

no idea how the other guy got them off his drive, but I felt sure they should be 4.xx gig shouldn't they?.. is there anything I can do with them?

To me it looks like they are Iso's he's downloaded off the internet, then normally you would browse for them using a WBFS manager and add them to your hard drive.

I know this is a silly question, but have they been unzipped?

If thats the case then they should be the correct size for burning, all i can suggest is that the extractor has failed, maybe your mate is using an earlier less reliable WBFS manager, or they have been extracted using another format to .iso,
like .wbi or .daa which are really usb to usb formats.
