The slap in the face that was last nights Multiplayer Reveal Event was a wealth of MW2 intel, but a information overload! All the new confirmed information from the event has been squashed into nice, bite size, easy to digest pieces.

Name: Sleight of Hand
Purpose: Faster Reloading.
Tier: 1 (Blue)

Name: Stopping Power
Purpose: Increased bullet damage.
Tier: 2 (Red)

Purpose: Increased melee distance.
Tier: 3 (Yellow/Green)

Name: Bling
Purpose: Double attachments.
Tier: 1

Purpose: ???

Name: Marathon
Purpose: ??? Possibly the replacement of “Extreme Conditioning”?

Purpose: ??? Most likely the same as it was in CoD4, increases hip fire accuracy.

Purpose: jams the Heart Beat Sensor

Function: Call in a controllable AC-130 gunship.
Death Streaks

Also revealed was the introduction of Death Streaks.
There were two Death Streaks revealed the first called ‘Copy Cat’ lets you steal an opponent’s class setup once they’ve killed you four times.

The second called ‘Painkiller’ affords you ten seconds of extra health after you respawn.

Name: Afghan
Description: Afghan is a rocky desert map, the centerpiece of which is the ruins of a downed jumbo jet. The open central area, which contains the aeronautic set piece, is great for snipers as it’s overlooked by several high cliffs and bunkers. At the northern and southern ends, the passages become more confined in caves and on ledges, and the fighting gets more intense.

Name: Favela
Description: The term “favela” means shanty town, which, you guessed it, is what this is. The best way to conceptually divide this map is into two sections – the high ground and the low. The high ground is on the rooftops, which provide little cover but offer faster travel and a broad view of the larger streets and objective sites. The low ground is great for making escapes, as you can disappear around corners faster than your pursuer can rattle off bullets, though you must always be weary of the marksmen who lurk above.

Name: Highrise
Description: This map’s uncharacteristic modern urban setting is very welcome. The map is comprised of the roof of an unfinished skyscraper (complete with helipad), two interior office spaces at the northern and southern ends, and a passageway which connects the two sides.
The offices are great for crouching around in – I was able to shotgun blast quite a few guys through cubicle dividers (papers and blood went everywhere, it was great). The rooftop exterior, however, is a dangerous place, and you can easily be forced into narrow passageways. It does offer a series of suspended metal beams which can be used to climb up to an excellent sniping roost. Finally, the passage below is exposed in the middle of the map, but is otherwise covered. If you’re lucky, you can use it to sprint all the way from one side of the map to the other without being noticed, and launch a surprise attack from behind your enemy.

can anyone explain how the kill streaks work ? i totally dont understand them his year. when i was watching the vid he got one at 3,4 and 5 then they stoped and he died before the 7th kill

yet the info says theres one for 6, so i am guessing you get to pick them or something

from what it looks like (in one of the first vids they released) there is a grid with 15 items.
You will be able to choose from different options as to which kill streaks you use.

So for 4 kills you can have either UAV jammer or supply drop, likewise for 5 kills you can choose either sentry gun or missile.

I think you will be only able to have 3 killstreaks, so one person might choose 3,4,11 (UAV, Supply Drop, and AC130), whereas another person might choose 3,4,5 (UAV, UAV Jammer, and missile)

If you find your not getting high killstreaks it's might not be worth you choosing the AC130, and stick to the lower levels.

Kill Streaks:

- UAV (3) = Scans for enemies and displays them on your mini-map.
- Care Package (4) = Airdrop a random killstreak or ammo.
- Counter-UAV (4) = Scramble enemy UAV?
- Sentry Gun (5) = Basically a plantable gun that will shoot anyone that crosses it's path.
- Predator Missile (5) = One devastating missile that you control until impact.
- Precision Airstrike (6) = I think the name speaks for itself.
- Attack Helicopter (7) = I'm assuming same as 7 Chopper Killstreak in Cod4.
- Pave Low (9) = All I know is that the Sikorsky MH-53 Pave Low is a combat search and rescue chopper.
- AC130 (11) = We've all seen what this was
