Nice! Upgrading to 5.50 Gen-B2 and testing it out now!
awesome news, thanks
Tested it and got GT working! Right, you guys won't hear from me till GT5 is out, unless GT PSP is crap (doubt it tho).
cheers for the heads up, updated to gen b2 and playing gt. thanks
Can you still play PS1 rips and other emulator/homebrew software with gen b2 firmware ?
hmmm I have followed the instructions exactly and I'm getting the first few intro screens then it just goes black.
any ideas?
I've taken the plunge and updated to the new firmware. I was getting the same thing with GT when it stops loading at the autosave info screen. DONT use the Euro rip that is up I tried arseing about with this for ages. Use the USA 1 just search on the NG's for it and after you have patched the Eboot file etc it will work first time !
yep, that eboot method doesn't work with the EUR release!

I downloaded the USA ISO when it first came out and had it sitting on my PC till this came out. Works a treat!
Anyone got Fifa 10 to work?
I upgrade and can run soul calibur and GT OK but not fifa. When I go system settings then info my firmware says 4.01 M33-2. Should it be newer even if GT works?
Ta
EDIT: Dont worry upgraded firmware first and it works

Look at that all happy bunnies
trying to play GT on 550b2 and I keep getting " the game could not be started 80020148" errors.
I've decrypted eboot.bin, but no joy.
Any ideas?

go into recovery mode (hold down right shoulder button on start)
go to config and change umd mode to m33,then back and then exit
