A better than average driver but certainly not THE best, the most annoying thing is his current battle for more money than Brawn can afford when so many workers in the company had to be sacrificed to keep his ride alive. Ross Brawn, while barely able to speak, made a point of thanking ALL the people working for him including those no longer at Brawn. Button should count his blessings and do the right thing for once.
I'm glad the title is still in the UK but I'm uncomfortable about how it was achieved, nothing unusual for F1 these days though, it's just that the cars with the dubious tactics are usually red!
    If at first you don't succeed.....redefine success. . . .

Once the other teams were told they could do the mod too and started to catchup ( took roughly 6 races) then Button was back to middle of the road again.

Oh and the cunt needs to learn to shave too the pikey.
It just shows how much the car is more of a deciding factor rather than the driver. Something the Brawn team worked on with the help of Honda F1. Honda started development of the 2009 car early into the 2008 season when they knew the 2008 car was shite.

As I said before Hamilton strolled straight into a very fast car. Would he have been world champion last year if he was in a Force India or a Toro Rosso?

I see your point but the rules were the same for everyone at the beginning of the season and why would Brawn tell anyone about a piece of technology on their cars? And it wasn't just the Brawn cars with a double diffuser Toyota and Williams were running it since first race.
The double diffuser row was over after the second race so the other teams could have made changes by the third or forth. They may have taken longer but who's fault is that?

Barachello had the same car, more GP starts and experience but isn't world champion, Button is.

Not entierly true mate, Button took a 3/4 pay drop to race for Brawn this year from what he was on in order to keep the team alive, so you compare buttons £4m to other peoples £16-20m I don't think many people can complain (yea I know £4m is still a lot)

One was a newcommer to the team whilst other had been working with them and was already worked in.

It's very easy to overlook the obvious in blind euphoria.

Who was a newcomer? Barachello had been with Honda/Brawn since 2006.

    Well done to JB.
Not sure, but if he is then I would say he is a serious contender.
Hamilton will be back on form next season too, with Alonso been a dark horse.... If his head wasn't so big and weigh 1 million Stone I reckon Alonso would have a better chance.

I agree with the above comment - and I wouldn't say he was in the best 3 drivers right now either. I have him way down the list with Hamilton, Alonso, Vettel, Kubica, Kimi, Filipe & Luca Badoer being better Drivers (ok the last one's a pisstake) . I never said he was the best driver out there. I said "I can't understand the doubts of being deserving" as a champion.

It's quite simple really, if you score more points than anyone else over the season (and it's a long season) then there can be no question (imo) that whoever leads come the end of season, deserves to win.

How long it has took bears no relevance in my opinion. If you have to win it early on in your career else your classed as undeserving, the math just don't work. With so many Drivers it is impossible for them all to win it early on in their career.

Was Nigel Mansell undeserving afterall it took him 5 years to win his first F1 race and 12 years to be crowned World Champion.

For years all ex drivers and winners have acknowldeged that Button was always WORLD CLASS DRIVER, however at the time he has never been in a competitive car and therefore failed to shine in the eyes of the media etc.

Brawn started this year with a competitve car and then got caught up by the rest of the pack so IMO its well done Jenson and well done Brawn.
