For all you overclockers, what's your best/proudest o/c??
I'm quite happy with my 42.5% overclock on my 1Ghz AXIA. Any higher and it's unstable, but it does make for a nice boost.
Anyone else wanna share??

I can only get my 1700XP from 1467 to 1570ish becuase the multipliers have not been unlocked might try getting it stable above 1600 this weekend. Though it is hard only doing it by FSB increases
If it don't work hit it with a hammer, if it still don't work hit it with an axe
Obviously sir you are not a frequenter of overclocking/tweaking forums . The whole point of having the spec in the sig is to avoid the 'what cpu/gfx/sound card etc etc do you have' if I'm responding to a query, and so that people can quickly check specs . Of course, if you think it's sad, that's your opinion. I like itOriginally posted by partyman
Violator. Do you not realise that the whole putting your system specs in your sig. thing is really really sad. Why not delete it and replace it with something witty or thought provocing? Just a tip.
I got 1533 stable out of my 1ghz AXIA y using a swiftech and delta screamer..I've also got a 1.4 tbird but wont overclock on the fsb but the multiplier gets me to 1533 the AXIA is the best by far as the increased fsb speeds everthing up to a point
I think some of you should read this....
Project Eunuch
the best cpu i have heard of so far for overclocking is the intel p4 1.8 gig northwood with 512k cache this will overclock to 2.4 gig with no modification just using the stock fan that comes with it.
some people are overclocking the chip to 2.6 gig with slight mods to the vcore voltage but still using the stock fan.
the motherboards they are using are asus or abit i845 based with ddr not pc 133 or rambus
i found this forum where ther is quite a bit of detail on how itr is done http://forums.overclockers.com.au/ i think you might have to register to get access but it's worth it if your interested
Anyone else?? c'mon I know you're out there . Share the bragging!!!
I Oc'd my celeron 300 to 450 back in the day.
My bro witnessed an OC'd sinclair spectrum zx81, doubled the clock (cant remember the stats), with the aid of dry ice.
Thats no lie his engineering teacher was the type who made tesla coils and ray guns out of microwave ovens!

p4 2.0 @ 2.7 gig
I have my current 1ghz Athlon running at 1200Mhz (100 x 12)stable. Using a FOP38 HS & 60mm YS-Tech. I had to get rid of the standard 38 60mm Delta as it was waaaay too noisy. The 60mm Ys-Tech is quite nice Probably going to change it to an 80mm YS-Tech to cut noise and add greater CFM when i have the chance. Im running it in an Abit KT7 (64 Bios) though, so cant run it higher really
In the same board i got my Duron 700 running at 900Mhz stable. It did POST at 1Ghz, but was as stable as ITV Digitals future lol
A couple of years back i managed to get my K6-2 300 up to 330 (5 x 66) with a standard cheapo cooler on a nasty Jetway board. The poor thing just couldnt go any faster lol
Celeron 300a ---> 450 !!! 50% overclock using standard cooling (and it's still working). Try to do that with one of those new CPU.
AMD Athlon 500 to a 750 and a twin artic fan, 2 years ago and its still running :->
I've got my P4 1.8A running @ 1520 (18x140) rock solid (I’ve run SETI for 16 hours). I'm using a MSI 845 Ultra ARU Mobo with Kingmax PC2700 memory and a Creative Ti200. These Northwood chips really are the new Celeron 300As. Fantastic 'Bang for Buck' and they run nice and cool(54C full load, Zalman 6500AlCu fan @ full speed).
PS I think showing off your system specs is quite a good thing. Not only does it help people sort out problems and make comparisons with similar systems but it's also great to show off your system to other people who can appreciate your system (and hard work).
Hold up, So you underclocked your system??
1520 or 2520?P4 1.8A running @ 1520 (18x140)
thats dam impressive!
Did you tweak the voltages if so how much?
chris
Doh! I meant 2520. I've got the Vcore @ 1.65 but Motherboard Monitor reports an avarage voltage of 1.56V.
Gonna make this a sticky
Now running my XP1700 @ 1650 (150*11). Think I need to unlock the chip to get some better combinations.

Check my sig if i was on a Intel CPU i would easily be able to go higher but i am a AMD fan myself
Before it was 1957 206fsb x 9.5
Got my first ever pc from 75mhz to 120 :O)
Better Dead Than Smeg
clocked my P233 to 266 first, then had a celeron 366 to 550 at the time that was the bollox.
did read about one guy who did a P75 to something crazy like 500+ !! in a cryo freezer to keep it cool, not really cost effective though
