I run a pIII 650E coppermine on one PC and a PIII 500 on the other and when things slow down I seem to remember I haven't defragged in ages....do that and it's fine..I will upgrade when I can jump a great distance performancewise

well what cpu I have is really a long story
My machine right now is a duron 700mhz
however in september i went and bought a 1.2ghz tbird and when i got home i discovered it was chiped and so i took it back. anyways the people at the store basically told me i was stupid and that is obvisaly ahppined when i tryed to installe the heat sync. which i dident even try to do. so needless to say im never buying form them again

I find the pentium more stable and lots cooler and quieter, but the amd kicks ass

Used to have an Athlon, but got fed up of having to mess about with Via 4in1 drivers, it wasn't all that great stability wise for gaming, but for general use it was o.k. so i bought a Northwood 1.6, a bargain! THIS is one superb rock solid gaming cpu, and CHEAP into the bargain! btw, i would use Athlons again....they just need more compatable motherboards.

duron 1200 clocked to 1300 had a pentium 2 233 before that got given to me after my amd k6-2 350 mhz and board frizzled on me.you dont see the difference until you start using it
