So this has turned into a rig pimping thread, not just CPUs eh?

I don't have much, just a little to keep me going, but what I have I will show you if you would like.

    Home rig,

    Soltek motherboard (SL 75DRV-2)
AMD Athlon XP2000+ (non overclocked yet)
    256Mb of PC2100 Crucial RAM
    GeForce 4 440MX graphics card
ASUS DVD player and CD RW (not combined, I am just lazy)
40Gb seagate partitioned for the OS'
    Iiyama 19"
    Windows 2000 pro/ Redhat 8.0

    Work rig,

    Gigabyte motherboard (GA 6VX7-4X)
    Celery 733
    512Mb PC133 RAM
    GeForce2 PCI Graphics card
30Gb Seagate partitioned for the OS'
    Samsung Syncmaster 957DF 19"
    Windows 98se/Windows 2000 Pro.

(I do actually have 5 other work rigs, but you aren't interestd in them I am sure, though one is a P4 1800 Willamette core, too impatient to wait for the Northwood core :rolls: )

I have 4 pc's running at the moment with an equal split of amd & intel processors.
My own general use machine has an amd athlon 1333 processor,
the puter that I use for digital imaging, burning and hard work is an amd athlon 1300, my 7 year old daughters computer is an intel pentium III 700, and the one that I use baisically as a file server to my home network( & some mobile phone software that will only run win '98) is an intel pentium II 400.
In the past I have used pentiums & amd processors, & I don't really think that, now, there is a lot of difference in performance but, if I could afford it I would run all pentium processors but as I can't I will continue to run a cross section as my budget will allow at the time io buying.
To be honest - - - - - I will continue to sit on the fence.
