Default Giana Sisters Return - Homebrew Freeware

Giana's Return" is based on a game called "The Great Giana Sisters (TM)". The original has been developed by Armin Gessert, Manfred Trenz and Chris Hülsbeck. "Giana's Return" is not a clone at all, but based on the original. It features 6 worlds witch each 6 levels, which makes a total of 36 levels. Each world has 2 tunes, of course the game also has various sound fx's plus titlemusic, game- over music and more. While the first world is rather easy you'll notice slight increase of difficulty in later worlds which should make the game worth a challenge. At level two and up you'll recieve passwords. There are not only passwords to start at decent levels, no, there are even passwords for hidden functions.

Most of you should remember "The Great Giana Sisters (TM)" from it's old days. The gameplay in "Giana's Return" is not much different. Try to solve each level in time, collect diamonds to get an extralife (each 100 diamonds) and try to gain extra items such as the Stonecrusher, the lightning (for beeing able to shoot) or the pineapple (for autodetect shoots). Probably worth to mention are also hidden bonus rooms which contain a lot of diamonds.

This game is 100% FREEWARE, no money in any form should be charged for it. Any commercial use is strictly prohibited without written permission from Christian Nowak (CHN) and/or Shahzad Sahaib (Kojote). Under commercial use we mean things like: Putting the game on a magazines CD, selling the game on any kind of media, offering the game on pages where you have to install a dialer to get it, etc. Any manipulation and/or patching of the game is forbidden, only spread official versions avaliable on www.gianas-return.de

Sounds like it might be quite fun, alway senjoy a bit of old school style gaming. The only problem for the moment is:

    " GP32:
    (Not released yet) Changelog
    Dreamcast:
    (Not released yet) Changelog
    PC - M$ Windows:
    (Not released yet) Changelog "

Looks like it might arrive soon though.

Looks like it's finally here! Haven't had a chance to download this myself yet, but will probably have a go when I get back in from work.
