Default VW Passat 06 plate, inbuilt sat nav s/w required

    Hi there,

I bought a 2nd hand VW Passat 06 Plate recently and the inbuilt sat navigation came with a disc BUT there is no disc inside the box and the previous owner does not have it

    On the case it says:-

    Volkswagen DVD Navigation
    Digital Road Map Europe(V3)
    RNS MFD // RN S2

    My questions are:-

    - where can I downloadis software?
    - is (V3) the latest version?
    - how do I install it to the car once I download it? Do I burn as bootable ISO?
    - do I need a serial for it?

I live in the U.K. so do I specifically need an english version or will the german version also work?

All help and support would be most appreciated

    Thanks in advance

    Cheers

The usual places will have it. It's manufactured by Teleatlas.

There is a CD based version, not any good for yours if it's dvd based.

It doesn't install, the disk stays in the slot.

Use Clone CD to burn the ISO.

My understanding is the Nav disks for MFD 2 DVD are copy protected and im not aware of any solution

best bet is to pick one up from ebay

BTW a firmware update from here [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Stu do you have a copy of the files you PM'd as 1 file and not 36 individual files that I need to wait days before downloading due to the fact I do not have a rapidshare account? Any help would be appreciated.

Also are you saying once I have the files or file if you choose to give me the link to just 1 file, I am supposed to burn with Clone Cd so that when I insert it into the unit it works - please clarify?

    Cheers

I didn't mail any files mate. I had a look and I only have CD's for MFD2 or DVD for RNS510/Columbus.

Once you have an ISO (Presumably from an unrar'd file) then use Clone CD to burn.
