    Default Can't Burn Some MP3's

I have been using CDRWIN 3.8 to burn mp3's to cd to make audio cd's (.wav) for a with with no problems, but having just got adsl I have downloaded sh!tloads recently. I have just tried several times to burn 18 or so mp3's onto a cd. I load the tracks and begin to burn, but after about 5 of so tracks I get an error that and the cd does not burn.

Anyway, to cut a long story short - it must be a problem with one of the MP3 files, as I have tried different media and different speeds. But - I am fed up with having to burn a coaster just to find out if a file is corrupt. Is there a programme out there that will check the mp3's to make sure that they can be converted/burned in wav format?

Maybe try re encoding the files with a program like Shuffler before you burn them because sometimes downloaded MP3's come up as invalid in both Nero and Easy CD creator I find. Other thing you could do is de encode the files to WAV if you have enough room on your drive, then burn them which will show if the problem is to do with the burn program not handling the de encoding process properly. I assume you have made NO changes to your programs etc arounf the time the problem occured? and that your drive is has been defragmented recently? or that could be your problem, the hard drive can't work fast enough to supply the files to the buffer because they are scattered all over the drive instead of in one area.

you likely have some mp3 PRO files some progs like easy cd will not convert PRO files, to use nero you need the PRO plugin added.

    download a pro player here

    http://www.mp3prozone.com/

and if the pro lite comes on when you play its a pro file
pro files are smaller than normal ie 4-5mb mp3s

also 18 songs sounds a lot to fit on a cd your not over
    filling the cd are you?

Maybe you should try to convert the Mp3 to a WAV before the burning process..
Winamp can do that (just select the diskwriter output driver)
I always convert them to WAV before burning them

also be sure to have enough free space on your HD..

gunner get nero and if you get an error with it (as you ad the mp3s)you need the mp3pro plugin, also if you are making coasters use a cdrw to play around with, and turn on the simulate in the final box you get in nero before it actualy burns, and if the simulation fails it stops and dont forget to turn on smartburn to then theres no way you will get coasters then.
