Can someone tell my why Datasafe discs won't work when the Verbatim ones will?
My mates got the better PS2 and he can only use the Verbatim's I've got an old version and it plays both.
But Both our PS2's will take any DVD-R?

Can someone tell my why Datasafe discs won't work when the Verbatim ones will?

It all depends on the laser head used. The newer and better ps2 may not be able to read the datasafe discs probably because Sony has been working on the drive in the PS2 and refined the laser head used. If the beam has been refined to make it sharper and more efficient you might find problems with it reading certain discs.
