will a liton on drive from a banned 360 work in a non banned 360?

Hi all,
my 360 got banned last week but today a mate gave me his old 360 which he said was f00ked - now I know he bought the console new and has never used xbox live but the liteon drive in the 360 he gave me is totally and I mean totally goosed (he tried to fix it himself and has basically mangled it -torn ribbon cables etc)
So can i take the key off his drive (I think I can still extract it) and spoof it on to the drive out of my banned 360 - then use that drive in his machine -in theory giving me a working unbanned xbox again?

If yours is liteon too - just change the control board over - if not - then yes as flat says but will probably get banned again unless this new firmware works when it comes.

Nah not if i change the controller board over - the rest of the stuff in the drive is just mechanical - but as said above I cant really use it online till a more "safe" firmware comes out - but at least I`ll have a 360 ready to put it on.

if your mates liteone drive wasnt flashed then it will need to be flashed again

if it was then yes, as already said just swap the control boards over and it works a treat
