    Default Need Advice Please?

Can anyone give me some impartial advice please?

I need the mileage corrected on my Nissan 350z. I've been quoted £80 by Dashfixer in Glasgow. I know Dashfixer have a good name as I've heard good reports about them.

However I've been told I can get this done cheaper and they are mobile which means I don't have to drive to Glasgow. The downside is I've also been told there are companies out there using equipment which is cloned and you don't get a proper job done such as service resetting which should be included.

I was on another Forum earlier and read a slanging match between Dashfixer and someone called White Rabbit. I tried to post on there but the forum seems to be down just now.

I have a business card from someone who does this locally for £60 but I'm not sure if I will get as good a job as Dashfixer. On the business card it states at the bottom 'Launch-Star-Carsoft'. I presume this is the software used? Is this any good and what questions should I be asking before I part with my money?

In all honesty the 350Z is a straight forward job, done properly it would be done by soldering some wires to the rear of the instrument cluster to avoid dismantling it completely (i.e. pull of needles from dials etc..).

In fact, the clone gear out there is just as good as the real kit, the problem is that alot of the new guys using the clones have no idea how to use the kit. Only a real Dashfixer would know the correct procedure.

Dashfixer in Glasgow is without a doubt a good and safe option, however there are plenty of mobile guys out there who are good too, although I can only recommend one guy and he is not mobile (based in Glasgow).

£80 is a fair price. The 350Z has no Service Interval to reset. No other memorys apart from instrument cluster.

Thanks mate. Who's the other guy in Glasgow? Do you have an address?

Can you elaborate on the other local guy and what's on his business card i.e. Launch-Star-Carsoft
