I have got one of these sets with the removable face missing
does anyone know if a face of a another one will work or are they
married to each unit + do they have a radio code.

I have a sony radio with a face off. I had the same problem when i temporary lost the front. I asked the car radio shop if i could get a new 1 and he said he would need the code off the body and proof of ownership and then he could order it. Problem they get is people steal the bodys from the cars and then try and order a new face which the customer should have removed. He also said id need a bank loan to pay for it!!! Lucky for me i found mine

Yeah m8 thats the same response i got from my local radio
dealers. i bought the car from a auction with the set in but no face , they are not interested in my car receipt they need a radio
receipt which i have not got , bumber or what.
Trying to contact previous owner is a nightmare they are the other side of the country to me and would you beleive it Chinese every time i ring they think i want a takeaway i will have to put pen to paper and write;
