Do they use vending machine style locks? If you you can buy a lock pick for them for about £50.
You could do something they teach you at school. The thermid (spelling?) Experiment. You know, the one where you get magnesium ribbon to react with iron oxide(rust) and you produce magnesium oxide and molten iron. Now I'm guessing a big blob of molten iron would melt throught the money bit of the phone (also a bit of the money as well, small price to pay though).
All you have to do is collect a mount of rust (try the inside of a metal clothes/washinline prop), put it in a heap in the on the money compartment of the phone, put the magnesium ribbon in a a little well at the top of mound, light the magnesium ribbon and hey presto.
Also works as a revenge tactic by doing the same on someone's car bonnet.

wot u are reffering to is thermite and u need to mix equal parts of aluminum filings and rust together, not just rust, and this would toast the coins and burn thru the pavement, not good in a confined fone box.
anyway has anyone got a lockpick for vendie locks?
pm me if u do

I was touched by Jesus, so i had him arrested.
Here's a tip to piss people off, i discovered this myself so dont claim u did
First go to a phone box
now press the number 1 and keep it pressed.
Now lift the reciever up and wait, the display should now read " no coin calls"
now dont hang up as the display will clear, put the handset back carefully at an angle so as not to hang up.
Now watch people enter the phone box, read the message and walk off!!
what will the message say
Is it really worth trying to rip off a payphone any more???? I thought every man and his dog had a mobile phone by now, does anyone still use such antiquated things as public payphones?

i got a few keys. ive been told that they are bt phone box keys. but ive never tried. prob wont bother either know that i know they are all individual keys.
wot a bummer
why not scan a few of teh keys in for us all to have a look at?
you get a scisser jack and put it inbetween the phone and the box and crank away........... free money
They have blcoks between these now on most phones nowadays
does that magnesium trick really work?
A plain clothes guy used to empty the one around the corner from my last house. He drove a Group4 van though.Originally posted by Fett

I watched the program on C4.To get past the alarm you've got to drill the box in a certain place. The next bit , obviously was not told (can't spell divulged!!) Somehow they by passed the alarm. It would'nt suprise me if it was something to do with a microswitch and a bent metal coat hanger. Then they drilled the lock. With the alarm by-passed they opened the door and emptied the loot. To open the door they used a cheap sill jack modified.. lengthened. The idea about doing the remote boxes was that they don't get emptied so often so the drilling is not obvious if you seal them back up... ie. black silicone. The 2 blokes got caught cause they did so many the rozzers staked out loads of known "hit" boxes. and cuffed 'em. Now here's the best bit. The two lads were caught on the way to do a box. They did'nt catch them doing a box. They got nailed for going equiped. When the pair were arrested they had someting like £500 in ten pences on them. They were jailed (cause they were a pair of knowns) got released on appeal cause of lack of evidence ...... and even though they were released the rozzers would''nt give the £500 pound back. In the end they coppers had to give it all back and the telly crew were there to film it. These 2 were "alegedly" guilty as f*ck, they told the lot on camera and were proud. They'd done it before and admitted they'll do it (doing it) again. So my point is ..... where the f*ck do you drill?
Amendtment to the above ...
They did'nt drill the lock... the jack busted that.
hmmm weird for sure normal they drill the locks to get the box open
but the main problem is the trigger switch in the box and all so
the pressure switch under there box
how they normal do it they go to the box and phone a number
then they give a password out and the box alarm is turned off
then they can empty the box no problems at all....
some of the boxes now have a tiny video cam that kicks in if
the box is mess with and u are on film
most of the phone boxes in london have small cams and more to
come now
the easy way not to get caught is time yourself 20secs to open
the box and then get away fast as u can
but end of the day is it really worth it
when bt catch up with us all
remember u can drill the box with out the alarm going off
but i have heared all so they got a switch inside like a spring
so if the spring moves the alarm goes off

the way to open the phoneboxs was easy at one time and believe me plenty of money to be made i made a good bit at it for 15 months traveling all over the country, but they have changed the design of the box so the device i used plus many of my mates is no good anymore although a few of the old type are still here and there but far and few, the device was very simple to make a bit hard to explain it , put it this way it was as simple as one piece of metal about 1 and a half to 2 foot long 2 other pieces coming from it the width of the cashbox holder, so it would look something like a letter F imagine holding a letter F made of metal sguare tubing and holding it infront of you with the 2 prongs of the letter F facing ahead of you , the groove between the letter F would fit on each side of the box and if any one remebers the boxs then had a groove running around the rim of the box were now they are made were the box slides out from the front with the groove facing you aswell, anyway if you think of the letter F, now between the box then each arm of the letter F has an inverted piece of metal flattened and sharp to fit in the groove that runs around the rim of the box one of the arms of the letter F had also a a screw with thread that tightened the metal grooves into the groove of the box then you got a bottle car jack you put it against the back of the phonebox and against the part of the letter F that sticks out, remeber if the letter F, the right part of the letter is the part that is were one part of the bootle jack conects too aswell as the other end of the bottle jack on the back of the phonebox wall next to the phone itself, then all you did was jack the jack till eventually the parts of the letter F that are stuck into the grooves of the box pry the front of the box of remember as we jacked the jack the letter F which is slowly moving away from the box as the lentgh of the jack grows but because it is firmly conected to the groove running around the cashbox case it prys the cashbox case door away with it, then all you did then was grab the litle handle that is attatched to the cashbox and away you go and back then there was no alarms and it was because of me and many others i know that BT changed the design of there cashbox holders haha.
