hi m8 dont bother if you got the key you got to phone them up
to shut down the alarm on the box first

as soon as you open that box alarm at the control centre goes off
and blue lights come right away so run fast
plus not to sure if bt have cams in some of there boxes now ????
but i know you can make a device for opening those boxes up
    very easy

Surely if you manage to find some remote boxes....there shouldnt be a problem....try wales for example....it takes the police long enough to get to work up there, let alone get to an incident on time....

yeah, but just ask yourself how many people use a box in such a remote location as some hills in Wales! Seems like a lot of @rsing around for 30p or so..

    Default Dodgy stuff

I've seen a video taken from across the road (so it got the car plates etc), it showed the person getting stuff from their car to use on the box.
The box was in a remote location, and got hit quite a bit. Don't know if they put cameras inside the box as well, but it would seem sensible to do so, power and waterproof housing already installed.
Better think of something safer GIADJ, like picking a fight with a WWF wrestler.

I remember watching a tv show about BT telephone fraud . The central office knows when a phone is being attacked .
Another weird thing i noticed . You ever seen a bt employee ever removing money from a box???? Ive never seen it , its apparently done at night times.

i've seen BT emptying the box near where i used to live, it was right on the school gates and got a right hammering from the kids, when they came to empty it there were 2 bt blokes, one in a van one in a car, and a blue light across the road, prob JIC, the guy in the van did something 2 the phone first, then the other guy took a box from out the phone and just disappeared, straight in his car and gone, the other bt bloke put another cash box in the phone. cops went when he had finished, it was surreal, like they were expecting a van full of sawn-offs to appear from nowhere!!! This was about 2pm but couldn't say what day though, might have been a weekend for all i know, i think it was midweek though.... can't be sure, it was sometime last "summer", ie, may to august, not long b4 i moved. that phone was a right pain in the butt, it was either 999 only or the kids had fu(ked it , loads of times i could have walked away with the handset, that's if it was still in one piece!!!

Why BLUE BOX for a free call when the operator(100) is free anyway?

Group 4 . The phones must hold a decent bit of money then.

    Just thought I'd add this..

I was in Sheffield bus station the other day stood next to a BT payphone. This plain clothed geezer walked up and emptied the phone as I watched, he didn't mind me watching at all.

Basically he put a key into the box at the bottom, took out the collection box and put an empty one in. All he did then was pick up the receiver and dial a few numbers. He listened on the receiver until he heard something then hung up and walked off. There didn't appear to be any backup for him either.

He didn't do anything before actually taking the money out so I presume if you could get hold of a key you'd get 20 odd seconds before an alarm went off.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but every phone box has a different key to open the compartment where the cash box is housed. So if you got hold of a BT key it would only work in one payphone!!
