Rock Band or Band Hero?

Hi, my lad wants 1 of these for xmas. Was going to get 1 on PS3 but figure be better on Wii then DL more for less! But which would you go for or does it matter? Cheers

Rock Band. Its easier in my eyes, compared to the guitar hero series (which Band Hero is part off). I also like the DLC Rock Band offers, think I read that they have released 1000 extra DLC songs!

Although they are simular games... Rock Band and Guitar hero are angled more towards the guitar and drum playing. The songs mirror this.

Band hero is angled more to whole band experience... the songs include more singer front roles and less guitar solo's

to be honest, guitar hero and rock band are much of a muchness in gameplay and also song lists. I prefere guitar hero for probably the simple reason that its the one i played first. Band hero seems to be more aimed at the pop market with more recognisable singalong type songs.

what kind of music does he listen to?

Cheers, he like all sorts of music. 1 thing that I have thought tho, how do you connect the stuff up? If I DL more games and only 1 free usb can you use a usb hub or are they wireless?

Depends what you end up getting. My rock band on 360 was wired ands came with a hub, yet my Wii GH was wireless.

Well I think I will get him Beatles Rock Band Ltd Ed but 1 last question, if I got it on PS3 would I also be able to use the mic/guitar/drums on Wii or not? (or if got Wii use on PS3?) Cheers

Before I acquired Band Hero I read some reviews saying more aimed towards teenage girl.

Are you able to download and install the (Rock) Band Hero DLC?
