American History X was an all-around good movie. For some reason, the pavement thing didn't phase me too much.

I think there's a difference between just a gory movie and a movie that actually realistically portrays violence. As someone stated earlier, a super-gory movie can make you laugh, but some movies can actually disturb people. I was watching Natural Born Killers and did a good job of freaking somebody out. I know the movie pales in comparison to others as far as blood and guts go, but there's something about people begging for their lives and the psyche of a killer that can make some people shudder.

    ... I don't know. Whatever.

The Story of Ricky is insane! Yes I've seen Man Bites Dog (pacemaker!). One of my favourite movies of all time and it's also hilarious. Chopper is fantastic as well, the first half is incredibly violent.

some good gory films there, but the one that made me cringe the most was Casino with the two scenes with Joe Pesci, the bit with the Biro in that guys neck, over and over, and the bit with the baseball bats at the end, the sounds were horrible. yuuuukkkk!

if you have seen it sorry for bringing it to the fore front of you mind again.

    two words for that.....nasty shit

a lot of ppl die in hot shots part deux (although that is bcus it is taking the piss mega style), although commando is a very cool film, very funny when the woman accidently fires the rocket launcher backwards.

Texas Chain Saw Masacre? That was shockingly bad, There's only about 5 people get killed. 3 of 'em with a chainsaw. Not what I'd call a massacre.

Natural Born Killers for amount of violence (and a brilliant film I hasten to add).

Most Disturbing? Without a doubt it's gotta be Cannibal Halucaust.

There's just too much sick shit in that and it's all done from the documentray footage angle which makes it seems a whole load more convincing than any Hollywood movie.

If you could count any of the Mondos as movies Id say they obviosly contain the most violence.

True Gore , Traces of Death , Killing of America.

    Romper Stomper!

And I remember for 'sick' value I saw "Johnny - Portrait of a Serial Killer" at the cinema about 10 years ago. Nice scene of a bloke sawing some girl's head off in his bath. I think it was his sisters! I'll have to look this one up again.

Braindead is well funny. When he punches the woman in the back of her head and his fist comes out her mouth, piss funny.

The most violent films I have seen are 'Hard Boiled' (Chow Yun Fat taking out legions of baddies with a single clip), and 'Dobermann' (simply a fantastic movie:

Don't know about the most on screen killings but one of the most violent films is called Absurd (also know as athropopus the beast II) total garbage though, another film which is pretty violent with a lot of sick ideas (and also totally ridiculous) is Blood Sucking Freaks I was watching that while eating a curry pasty and I haven't been able to eat another one since. I agree that Cannibal Holocaust is a disturbing film aswell that is as near as I want to get to that mondo shit and if I could take back watching it I happily would.

shut up lol give me toy story 2 anyday.

Seriously though cannibal holocaust is such a depressing and morbid film it upset me for days after, although I was young and impressionable when I saw it, I still haven't felt like watching it again since. (Did you ever see the original video cover even that was vile). The other Itailan cannibal films are ridulously stupid I was more of a Italian zombie film fan although I did enjoy Zombie Holocaust which combined zombies and cannibals to great effect

If you want disturbing violence try Film called "Man Bites Dog" its shot like a documentary following a french Mass murderer around .. it has very disturbing violence in it - its one of those films that you kind of wish you hadnt watched afterwards - I bought it on VHS a few years ago and only watched it once

heres a link to the dvd thats out of it now..
