@ amo you want to watch out for those dereks!
Just had a read about it on IMDB and somebody saidThis amazingly bloody and hilariously funny gore comedy from Peter Jackson("Bad Taste","Lord of the Rings:Trilogy")is one of the most amazing films I have ever seen. There's a great bit with Timothy Balme walking a hyperactive zombie baby in the park,a kung fu priest,a grotesque finale involving gallons of blood and gore, death by lawnmower, and pus in the pudding at dinner. The gore effects are really funny and gross, but not disturbing(for disturbing gore check out for example "Maniac"(1980)or "Nightmare"(1981)).If you think that "Braindead" is the goriest film ever made you're wrong. There are some movies that easily top it like "Lai Wong/Story of Ricky"(1991),"Darkness"(1993)and "Premutos-The Fallen Angel"(1997).OK,enough said-this splatter classic is not to be missed.
lol, I forgot about the kung fu priest, from what I remember he looked like he was better than bruce lee!
If Circles were Squares and the Sea was the Sky...
I has to be casino for the 3 scenes mentioned earlier not a huge body count but the methods of causing pain and killings are better than any other.
The pen stabing, head in a vice, and the killink of nicky and his brother in the deasert with the baseball bats even thought they wernt dead. you also have the smashing of the guys hands with a hammer when he is caught cheating.
Hot shots is piss funny with the body count bit.
Eating your own brain in Hannibal is abit over the top.
i'd say possibly premutos - lord of the dead, i bought the dvd once it was released after it had been banned for years in america.
although whilst not high in body count i would say that "beyond the limits" was about the sickest most violent movie, basicly take weapons (both modern and aincient) and see which does the most damage when handled by a deranged psycopath.
other honourable mentions should realy go to the uncut versions of troma team films, the german violent shit series and of course the sickest film series ever produced (now finaly available on dvd in america) the guinea pig series (4 multi disc dvd's for all 6 + 2 making of's, with the promise of maybe a release of "the best of"). Anyone who has watched days of wine and blood (i think thats its title) or mermaid in a manhole will know immediatly what i'm on about.
One of the most violent scenes I've ever seen is in a film called "Gangster number 1"
The bit where he goes to that guys house, shoots him in the knee to imobilise him, calmly strips down to his undies and opens up a tool box of axes and knifes etc and proceeds to "get medieval" on him, stabbing, cutting, biting, punching, throwing into glass cabinets, the lot.
Blood everywhere!
Then proceeds to shower the blood off, gets dressed and leaves as if nothings happened.
Rather Chilling
Yeah I remember that part in "Gangster number 1" for being quiite evil and twisted, there are films alot worse though.
ABCMan - Have you seen the troma films "The Toxic Avenger" Parts 1-4 ? I just got the boxset last week.
If Circles were Squares and the Sea was the Sky...
amo, yes they are troma team films, i hope you bought either the r1 or the dutch pal boxed set as if you bought the uk pal one (if it exists) you havent seen much of them either, the uk ones are cut to hell

Victoria Beckhams last video on MTV
Oh sorry you mean most violence on screen and not caused by whats on the screen.
My mistake.
Yeah they are extremely funny, gory and weird! I love films like that! :thumbsOriginally Posted by ABCMan
The let down with the boxset is you get the first three films and toxic crusaders movie (cartoon). I bought citizen toxie on region 1 uncut separately.
If Circles were Squares and the Sea was the Sky...

Beyond the limits is a class film for the violent scenes, the dinner table scene makes me shudder just thinking about it.
urbsy
Drugs are only a problem to people who can't afford them.
urbsy's cat says destroy all censorship on cat porn!
The killing of Officer Alex Murphy in the Director Cut of Robocop was pretty violent.
Yeah I agree with you on that, always remember it for disturbing me when I was a kid.
If Circles were Squares and the Sea was the Sky...
bad taste
For pure violence it has to be Bad Taste for me
Ichi The Killer - awesome movie
I was going to chime in and mention Ichi as I haven't seen it but have heard lots about it.
I've been pretty desensitized to the majority of shit I've seen since I was a kid as my parents and babysitter and what not were pretty liberal with what they'd let me watch, Excorcist was my favourite film when I was about twelve. The one film that I must admit to have had a little discomfort watching was Irreversible, easily the most violent movie that I have ever seen.
