Block internet access for a single program

I need to block access to the internet for a single program but i do not want to it with windows firewall that will cause more problems than its worth with my laptop..

Anyone know a program that can do this

If the software is contacting a particular server and you know the address (you can temporarily install a firewall to find out) then you can edit the HOSTS file to block the server. Does that help?

You can use Start > cmd > netstat to look at your connections, then do as stimpy said.

same here, there is the other option though of blocking it through your router but that would only work at home or where you have admin rights on a router

Hosts file is the easiest way. Add an entry to this file -

c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

like this -

127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com

which will stop Photoshop trying to bork your key when it ain't right.
