I'd have to pick Life or Brian as the best comedy. Breakfast club was fantastic.
Well Schindler's List, JFK with Costner and The Green Mile
are some my top films......
But the filming in the Matrix ass kicking.
o and the original Star Wars.
i would realy have to say spiderman

BoxOfficeMojo.com (http://www.boxofficemojo.com) is reporting that "Spider-Man" has now replaced "Jurassic Park" as the #5 on the highest grossing films of all time domestically.
"Spider-Man" has now earned an estimated total of $357 million so far and is still in wide release across the nation. #4 on the list is "Star Wars: Episode I," which took in a gross of $431 million."
consider its not out in the rest of the world yet
yeh but you can't knock T-REX and those raptors in j/park,that movie was awesome when it first came out, great eye candy.
i just love dino flicks, shame about jp3 though
I agree with some of those films, Shawshank, goodfellas once upon a time in..... etc but my list of great movies is massive. I tend to class them as any movie that you can come across on satellite and no matter where it is in the movie and no matter how recently you just saw it, you can sit quite happily and be completely engrossed in it.....
but if I had to name one it would have to be Let It Ride.......pure genius of a script.
Bug.
P.S Spiderman was shit, tobey is just too much of a geek and the script was awful...e.g Kirsten Dunst - "I love you Flash, no I mean Harry, no I mean Peter all along....." give me a break!
Shawshank Redemption - Amazing, don't really know anybody who didn't enjoy it.
Ferris Bueller - I can watch this film anytime and still enjoy it.
Goodfellas - Bobby De Nero and Joe Pesci are just well awesome!
Star Wars Trilogy - A bit geeky i know but you gotta love 'em
I really enjoyed Lord of the Rings too thats probably one of the best films ive watched in a long while.
@bugnote:
he was supposed to be geeky u retard lol duuurrr:
I don't think I could vote for a greatest movie as I like too many of them; but one that I think is amazing is Philadelphia.
It had great acting, a great story and was topical to boot (at the time).
The Italian Job and Zulu are great bank holiday movies. Big bag of crisps a cold can of beer a quick scratch of the balls and away you go.
Predator ...... definitely!
Gladiator, closely followed by Top Gun and Aliens
superb entertainment
Star Wars
gotta be Usual Suspects for me, brilliant storyline and the ending is amazing.
Well apparantly its Titanic, but I disagree (although it was an ok film)
I prefer classic titles that I can watch over and over like....
Pulp Fiction, Jaws, Breakdance (AKA Breakin'), Planes Trains and automobiles, Pink Panthers, Lots or Arnie and Sly movies. Too many to mention on here, I would use all of the bandwidth!
.
No particular order but :-
Shawshank Redemption
Das Boot
Tora Tora Tora
Goodfellas
The Fifth Element
Alien
DONUTS :) ------ Is there anything they can't do ??
Shawshank
L.A. Confidential
The Matrix
Goodfellas
theres too many to choose from

Never argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to their level, then beat you with experience.
There's been a few good films mentioned in this thread already, and I'd happily watch any of them again, except Spiderman, which I thought was crap!
I'd like to add Full Metal Jacket, American Beauty, Fight Club, Angel Heart and T2.. All great films for different reasons.
There are so many too choose from, I'd have to give a top 10 or something.
I think other people have already named my top 10, but nobody has mentioned "The Green Mile". That is worthy of being a "favourite movie" surely.
"So right, so pure,
so hoodedclaw"
I dont think that there are any serious film study experts on this forum to pick the greatest film going by what some people have chosen, i mean Matrix as the greatest film ever LoL.
That said i think it is impossible to choose one film.
just my two pence worth.

"Right! Bring in the perverts!" - Ispettore Morosini (Enrico Salerno)
L'UCCELLO DALLE PIUME DI CRISTALLO
you guys have named some great movies, but I do not see how no one has mentioned Scarface - one of my favorites ever
