Well...Ive gone down in the world....

    At 18 started with a 1980 Toyota Supra 2.8
    At 19 brought a Porsche 924
    At 20 brought a Porsche 924 Turbo
At 21 brought a Vauxhall Astra GTE 16v
At 22 swapped the GTE with cash for a 1990 Toyota Supra 3.0i
At 23 brought a 1988 BMW 325SE, smashed it, brought a BMW 316, then sold that brought a Granada Diesel (ewwwww)
At 24 brought a 1983 Porsche 944 and swapped it for a 1998 Fiat 1.2 16V Sporting and stuck with that since

Either a Cav GSI2000 or a Vectra SRI is next I thinks.....

Jeeeeeeeeez! no wonder insurance is so expensive with plonkers like you on the road. I read through your post and wonder if you actually went to school at all, never mind read up on automotive technology. Because of you I have no choice but to bitch slap the next boy racer I meet. I can believe anyone would be so proud to be so stupid, and you just HAD to be from Scotland, huh? can you not pretend your from venus? I would believe you for sure.

Default My cars over the years

    Morphs Car Chronology :

17 - S reg fiesta popular plus (1979 I think) - blew the CV joint within 3 months with wheel spinning, then the engine went about 3 months after that, only went in 4th gear occasionally

18 - V reg Granada ("litre Twin Webber, that was fun - lasted 2 months and the rad blew, gearbox went).

19 - Old shape BMW 316 (with blacked out windows, will get a photo, with a funny story to follow, Rap knows what I mean) - wrote it off by levelling a lamppost

21 - B Reg Cav SRi (1800) - nice car but had done 127 thou when I had it!

23 - Y reg Golf GTi Cab (All White) - Near side wheel fell off on the busiest roundabout in Stoke on Trent in the middle of rush hour on the way to an interview ! that was an experience, had to leave it in the middle of the road cause the wheels were pointing in opposite directions

24 - B reg Cav CDi 1800 what a shed, no steering, rack was worn, used to go wherever it wanted

25 - K reg Company Car - Sierra Estate (2.0GLX) Blew the engine after a high speed run back from Germany, Aachen to Stoke in record time.

27 - P reg Mondeo Diesel (company car) sold in tact after 3 years

29 - Sierra 2.9i 4x4 - do nut monster in the snow, still going

30 - Mercedes E220 Coupe - still have, love it to bits, like driving in an armchair.

    you know the rest

I hope Guns reads this and does his Chronology even if just for the stories about the Renault 5 and the 12

    those were the days

My problem is that there are way too many stupid little boy racers on every road that actually believe their bucket o stripey shit is the fastest car on the road, but guess what? even though their car is THE fasterst car on the road, their next one is ALWAYS faster! work that one out, eh? I can't stand boy racers, make me wanna chuck. My cars this, my cars that, jeeeeez, and you ALL think you OWN the bloody road and have more right than anyone else, huh? screaming past others like you've achieved something, like overtaking that 1.8 mondeo driven by a woman with kids in the car was some kind of acomplishment? Don't tell me..you don't, you're a catious driver, eh? never break the speed limit, right? that's why you paid someone to do the work on your car, or you bought it like that, yeah? sure it is. Did you tell your insurance company about the mods your so happy to boast about? yeah, course you did. I'm sure someone will find out otherwise when you slam into the back of them because you "don't know what happened, it just lost control" fact is you'll realise all too late that the people you see looking at you, aren't actually admiring your car or your back to front baseball cap, there saying what a plonker! Automotive technology? "port polished" ? huh? which port? a bottle of port? the opposite of starboard on a boat? no? ahhhhhhh, you mean PORT'S? plural, several of? and what do these ports do? tell me? why do SOME believe polishing is important? any idea? I hear you rapidly flick through your plie of max power back issues, franticly trying to find the answer! and whats more important than polishing those PORTS ? any idea? thought not. "lightened and balAnced" ? what is? which parts have been lightened and balanced? and why ? well? why would lightening and balancing anything improve performance? any idea? need a clue? I can't stand boy racers, can you tell? hate them with a passion, so........if you come on here happy to tell the world thats what you are, then, I'm happy to tell you why I hate them. Quick question? If every boy racer has "the fastest car on the road" , someone must be lying, right? but not you? and they will say the same, right? so.....that leaves us with what answer? your ALL full of shit , right? or.............what? you tell me. "u just can't beat a jap car" what a load of pish! Go visit your local breakers and you'll see what beats jap cars every time, RUST! but of course yours is "MINTED" right? how did I guess? Drive carefully! and try just to kill yourself, not a passenger or pedestrian. :-)

ermm are u just a complete tosser or what?

port polishing reduces' restrictions in the gases out of the inlet manifold letting the car breath better.

skimmed head, and recoated barrel's and pistol rings improve compression seeing the car is 11 years old.
lightend & balence (which is the flywheel and crank) let ur car rev quicker but can also loose torque if to light!

and what jap cars do u see in scrap yards a lot like?
are u mad? these thing dont rust like everyday ford, vauxhall of vw cars ya plonker!

aslo i have a traders policy for my cars due to being a part time trader so why do i need to notify them? i can drive anything up to £7500

and btw i aint a max power boy racer!

i like my car which ive had for ages and i dont mind spending money on it

Yea I'm a complete tosser, but comming from someone who calls themselves "vtec" is hardly an insult, is it?
I think you better read up a little more on the subject buddy, your close but no cigar, breathe better, very good, he he, an air filter might do that, yes, but I'm afraid breathing has little to do with porting and polishing, try gas flow, try petrol not being soaked up by carbon build up, try gas having an uninhibited route to the compression chamber. You never answered the "more important" question now, did you? wonder why? Only do the crank and flywheel? nothin else? Skim the head to improve compression cos the car is 11 years old? good reason, not! he he, your not very good at this, even though you have the advantage of being able to look up anything I ask and actually get it right! trader huh? trade what? antiques or something? surely not cars or you wouldn't dare even consider telling me that jap cars don't rust, my god, are you serious? LMAO here, that is the best one I've heard all day, do you mind if I use it? Not a max power boy racer? you best take a good look at your first post m8, cos you sure as f*ck look like one to me. DAMN! I'm gonna have to go slap another one of your "crew" now. Hope you feel guilty! :-) Still.......it's a good job you don't mind spending money on it, a brush pan and shovel would be a good investment to sweep it up off the road when it rots to bits, save anyone getting a puncture.

Oh dear, did I upset you? Insulting me I can deal with, don't insult other members. I am that "ass hole" with the PorSche, yup, or is it the PorSche that makes me the ass hole? chicken and egg, huh? No matching jacket, cap, bumbag etc, and no mustache, sorry! Never been called a gaylord, poof, dick or whatever your fav slang is at the mo, nope, sorry! I usually get out of my car wearing overall's etc. Jap car blew me off the road? now...........we're right back where we started, huh? boy racer? "blew me off the road" hmmmmm, what kind of shit talk is that? blew me off the road, big compresser? wind tunnel? where did I land? You mean beat me? right? sorry dude, silly little boy racers like yourself only race things they can beat, or take a huge run at it and fly past, feel familiar? I bet it does. The only time boy racers come near me is when they drive up my arse to "see what it can do" , they see BRAKE LIGHTS, just before their front end dips violently as the wheels lock up. You honestly think I'd waste fuel racing your crews, hot hatch's in a modified 4.6 ltr V8 ? get real. I'm not saying there are no jap cars or any other cars for that matter, that aren't faster, there are, plenty, but yours will never be one of them, sorry! I'm realistic, I DON'T think my car is a balistic missile, but believe me YOU would if you reckon your little toy is fast. Want a tow up to 160? that way you can bore all your buddies telling them you had your go cart at 160, if you don't already that is. Now, I "flamed" (as you call it) you because you came across as exactly the type of person that I can't stand, right? I based my comments on your, em, post, right? the one that should have been wearing a baseball cap back to front, right? so..........what do you base your comments on? gaylord? ass hole? tosser? etc etc.... name calling to get away from answering valid questions doesn't really work, does it? It sure won't make you look clever, so.......why do it? You sure as hell wouldn't do it if I was standing in front of you, maybe as you wheelspin away in the safety of your "vtec", yeah, but that's not the same, is it? So.....don't do it here. Yes, I did pick on you, why? I think I already explained that? the boy racer thing? so....I'll let you alone now and let you get on with some positive posting, instead of this crap. You were fun though, and you sure did brighten up an otherwise dull evening, thanks! :-) no more abuse now or I'll have to slap another boy racer!

Cant help but to jump in here - Hybrid, that was a little harsh m8, we have all been there (in the boy racer zone I mean) and I still put my foot down occasionally (got 3 points the other day :-( ) but its all about when and where you do it. True enough, boy racers can get on your t1ts, but they are just making the best out of what they have as I did when I was younger and had no cash. My first BM meant everything to me, right up to the point when I wrote it off, fortunately no one was hurt (only my pride) and I learned that round town is not the place for high speeds and handbrake turns, but some things you can not tell people, they have to learn it for themselves. Luckily I don’t get much bother with them now, they usually want me to stop so they can check the car rather than racing away, and most of the guys down at our "local boy race zone" are car addicts/enthusiasts, whatever you wanna call em, and know more about my car then I do!

Anyway, my point is not everyone can afford a Ferrari, Lamborghini or a Porsche and we should feel lucky and privileged rather than bitter to the slower cars and younger drivers. It is true that more accidents are caused by young male drivers, but it is also true that they become the best drivers with experience, lets face it, if you have done handbrake turns on purpose, and wheel spun, get the back end going etc, when you hit a slippery part of a road one day unexpectedly, you have handled the car in that manner before and have an auto response, whereas someone who drives "correctly" from day one would be in the tree. So it does have advantages as well. I don’t want to get into the Women drivers debate here either, but you also tend to find that the "Boy racer" type guys can seem to drive any type of car, just jump straight in as though it is the car they use everyday, whereas almost every woman I know (and some blokes) have to "get used" to the car and do not seem to drive naturally. Driving is an art, and the more you do, usually the better you are at it (as with most things). Although my missus has been driving longer than me and will not drive the merc ever! does my head in (cause its too big), cause I can never have a drink when we go out unless we go in her punto.

To summarise, dont forget, there is always a car that’s faster (as you said), if you have a super car, there’s just less chance of seeing it around, so if it doesn’t have the speed, get the looks or the ICE, that’s the next best thing I suppose.

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean, especially the "auto response" part, we all did it, yes, and we all learned from it, but there were always better places to do those things, rather than among other traffic and pedestrians. I already said I'd picked on him, when I realised I was giving the poor guy shit for the actions of our local boy racer pratts I hit it on the head. It's too easy to get torn into someone when your on your high horse and not realise they aren't actually who your bitching at. In this case I picked on him because I judged him by the standards of my area where the boy racers are total pratts and carry weapons like bats and knives to set about anyone that knocks their pride by beating them at their own game, that gets right on my nipple end, spineless twats get beat by a better car or faster driver so they assault the guy, in teams of course because they don't dare get into a scenario they are likely to lose in. The boy racer issue is always a hot topic and usually gets a thread busy with opinions so, as long as vtec takes my comments lightly and realises that seeing I don't know him from Adam and have no idea what kind of person he really is, I can't possibly be talking about him personally, rather the person he represented to me, all is not lost. Saying that, I can understand if he takes offence and appologise if that's the case. The irony of it all is probably the fact that all us old gits are probably a bit jealous deep down of the real boy racers, the one's that are proud of their cars, works hard to have them and keep them looking good, minus the stinking attitude the idiots have today of course. Because they remind us of a time where that was all there was, cars, speed, adrenalin, no mortgage, wife, kids, council tax, decorating the living room etc etc etc. Or is that just me? Anyway.................. speaking of "playing" in cars, we used to hit the local indistrial estate when it snowed so we could go totally mental without fear of ending up in someones living room, so...............this night it had snowed real heavy, then stopped at about 11 ish, full moon made it a great night for playing so we all headed to the industrial estate for some fun, see who could do the most 360's, keep the back end out the longest, etc etc, I'm sure you all know the score. So.......there's about 8 cars doing various childish things all around this one big car park, then comes the local plodd, "oh great, here we go again" I though, expecting the usual, questions and a telling off to spoil our fun. what are you doing here? they ask after drawing up along side my car, just playing in the snow, I said cos it was all the excuse I could think of and, well, it was the truth. yeah, he says, us too, good laugh aint it? and wheelspun in every gear for about 200 yards before doing a perfect 180 on the handbrake, heading back towards us and knocking the back end out again with the handbrake to slide round the right hander (his right) and out of our view, all without the engine going over 4k rpm. I remember thinking there goes the only policeman thet ever earned my respect, it was a nice surprise to see them admit to being as childish as us and play along side us even though they would surely get shit had they been found out, bearing in mind there are camera's all over the estate. BTW my first car was a MKIII Cortina 1.6 or 1.3 (can't remember) AUTOMATIC! which I treasured, it did a whopping 60mph flat out and only had 1st gear and the top gear in DRIVE. We all have pride, we all have loves and hates, but it seems to me these days that there is something very different that sets todays boy racers apart from those only a few years ago, there was always the pratts that just couldn't handle being beat and swerved from side to side so no one could pass them, happy enough to believe that they actually outdrove their opponent, yes, but anger seems to have taken the place of pride, if they can't beat them with a race, they'll beat them with an aluminium baseball bat, to ease their dented pride and that just aint sport. There's also the fact that cars have become vastly more powerful than those of yester year, which makes them so much more dangerous in the wrong hands, the trouble is that every young boy actually believes that he IS in control and CAN drive that car to it's limits, which is the wrong attitude altogether, because when you think you know everything you stop learning. I've spent many many hours\days\weeks helping out young boys with their cars for free, because I thought they deserved it and knew they were not part of the angry generation of young drivers, only to find the next time I see them, someone has scratched their car, kicked it, jumped on it or whatever, and for what? because it's nicer than their own. My car sits on the street in my town, and I can do that safely because everyone knows me and my car, but........I park it in another town and it gets scratched, kicked and spat on, I wonder why.
