maniac - the C335 & C336 are chip card readers.. Oystercards do not have any visible chip pin contacts - do you still think these are the right readers??

<Lionel Hutz> Oh I am, am I? Is that what you think? Well if that's what you think, I have something to tell you. Something which may shock and discredit you. And that thing is as follows. I'm not wearing a tie at all.
Tattooed Freak - An actual Oystercard (well, my one) only depicts the tube symbol, NOT the rail symbol. But the record card depicts both. In the early days of travel with Oyster, some inspectors got funny with me saying its not valid for travel on rail, but it IS. Not only does it work in the barriers at my local mainline station, but also you can call the Oystercard helpline, and they will confirm that it IS valid for rail (within your specified zones). So why no rail logo on the Oystercard itself? Not sure.. but the lady on the helpline told me its because Oystercard is a "London Underground initiative" but is valid for rail too.

Just a little tip here. If you get stopped by the revenue enforcement people (ticket inspectors to you and me) They are not allowed to grab hold of you or try to restrain you as that would be common assult. They can stand in front of you but thats about it. Just push past and run for it!
lol... Just dont use that station again, and hope the security camera's were not recording...
