I just brought a phone from the guy and received it from him this morning. No complaints from me

well i just bought 20 ****ing minidiscs from this guy, he promised 40, they took 3 weeks to arrive in any case, and now he wants my bank account details supposedly so he can do me a �5 refund (20 minidiscs - �5????????????) via a bank transfer!!!

Well I'm here to make a plea for the man. Maybe he has ripped some of the folks here but I'm for sure wasn't one of them! I've gotten a few items from him and they were all legit! I don't know him personally but he's a nice fellow! Really it happens sometimes I've been ripped off and I'm sure others here have been as well!

Sorry to jump in.

I have been reading post regarding MrCurverUK...and other nicks. I just have a feeling that there was a couple of people against him and many others followed. I don't know him at all and have never talked to him either on and off the forum. But he obviously does send out stuff to buyers. A couple of them at least. How many actually got 'ripped' off by him???? Or is it just a domino effect that coz one mod/senior member had an argument with him and quite possibly others just penalise him without really knowing what happened? I think most admin/mods are very helpful and friendly on this forum but there are bound to be some who are more firey and less understanding than others.

I hope I haven't made myself sound like a dick (don't ban me, I enjoy browsing in here)...but I just don't want to have someone innocent to be accused. Am just trying to look at things in his shoes and have a fair doubt that he is really a scammer.

Besides, if he really wanted to scam people, why not scam the phone and gc but some minidiscs??? Is it just a matter of misunderstanding???

I really hope I am not getting into too much trouble and made too many enemies.....

Anyway, I wanted to say this and I did.

A slight positive response was actually expected. I suppose admins have the ultimate rights to be sarcastic whenever even when one is just being - fair? Express their point of view with information provided?

Or...you proved my point about some admins/mods being a bit not understanding??? even firey?

Well, it seems now I have 'turned' to MrCurve's side even though I don't know him. No matter what I say would cause undesirable responses.

MrCurve: I tried to give you a fair trial...but failed. Sorry. Hope you really are not a scammer.

Thanks Biggy and RudeYute and Gimp and many others for sharing their finds and knowledge, I really appreciated it. It has been an addictive but fun few months browsing around learning new things.

Oh well.

Thing is mate, moderators are such for a reason. They wouldn't be a mod if they weren't up to the job ( although cam's promo made me wonder ). So you can rest assure that when someone gets banned it is for a good reason and one backed up with facts. Us mere members never see what goes on behind the scenes and I for one bought a gamecube off of him but never got the porno he promised!
