    D.E.C.T frequencies,
The European Telecommunications Standards Institute (E. T. S. I.) has allocated a band of frequencies for DECT between 1,880Mhz and 1,900Mhz. This is subdivided to provide 10 separate carrier frequencies. In turn each carrier frequency is divided into 24 time slots, two of which are used for each conversation. This provides a 32 kbit/s digital voice channel using a time division duplex strategy.
