    Help Duo x2 installation probs

got a few Duo X2 chips last week to mod a couple of 1.6 boxes. (not 1.6b)

First one starts, stops, starts, stops then starts with the LED flashing orange + yellow and no sound or picture, and stays on.

It still runs fine if I start with the eject button
I've had it out and looked at it a few times, seems clean and wired correctly,... any ideas?

The second one just boots up as normal when started with either the power or eject buttons..

Anybody have a clue what may be wrong?.

    1st prob:

Have had this problem a couple of times, its allways been a dry solder joint.

Re-check your soldering (especially the D0 point)

    2nd prob :

    Again double check D0 point

Did you change the switch position on the chip?
It needs to be on the evox bios setting, as the xecuter bios don't work with 1.6.
Also check the LPC rebuild points (if you remembered to do it
:coffee: ), as the diagrams are not that obvious.

Thanks for the replies guys, :thumbs

First one was the chip,.... last thing I'd have thought, the second one was (probably) the D0 point.

these were the first 1.6s I'd tried, and after spending ages trying to get the first one going I wasn't in the mood to try fixing the second one.
