As simple as possible 'dope', 'phat' etc all mean good...

'dope' originates from african-americans refering to canabis, and canabis as being good, therefore anything being 'dope' is hip and cool...

'phat' is an extention of big and 'large' therefore a lot of people like it...

i've never heard the term 'def' tho... you wanna explain webby mate?

    Ive been listening to..

18 Visions - Vanity (Exellent mix of hardcore metal with melody)

Hatebreed - Satisfaction is The Death Of Desire (brutal hardcore metal, pounding beats with bollock kicking guitars, Better then there latest release in my opinion)

The Haunted - Made Me Do It (Sweedish band with there blend of thrash and hardcore metal, great stuff!)

In Flames - Reroute to Remain (awesome album from the Sweedish death metal lords, lots of heavyness and lots of melody)

Poison The Well - Tear From The Red (brilliant band!, they inspire my vocals for my band in a huge way, this album is good, but not as good as there last releases, beefy guitars with screamo vocals, and lots of great singing)

I know my lot are far from Nu-Metal, But this is the only thread I can post in for that genre.

Yep, Foo Fighters new album is superb. Borrowing riff's heavily from Queens of The Stone Age. If that's what a summer of drumming for them does to you, do it again for the next album (Dave Grohl).

    Default Security & Netpumper

Don't know if N E body else has had this but after I downloaded netpumper I found traffic getting sent from my PC by passing the firewall!.

Are the "security" programs that pop up safe to use?

awwwww, shit! here comes the beatdown :-)

    /me listens to BDF-First_Family-EP-2002-pH

at the moment, I'd reccomend a bit of From Autumn to Ashes, soon to be seen supporting the starting line on their UK tour and at the download festival on the radio 1/kerrang stage :

    http://www.ferretstyle.com/mp3/fata_musicstore.mp3

if you like that tune, seek out 'cherry kiss', 'reflections', and 'royal crown vs blue duchess'

The Vines, The Stills, Von Bondies, Interpol and Franz Ferdinand are all on my playlsit at the moment. Not the hardest sound, but I think I am venturing more back into the indie scene than rock.

Dream Theater are an amazing band, i saw them live in London the other month. Compltely packed out the Hammersmith apollo.

Their new stuff isnt that good, Best albums are Images and Words and Awake.

If you like complex prog rock type stuff this is the band for you

If you are a simpleton, stay away from them.

Anyone listened to Probot yet? It's Dave Grohl and a load of guest's...very hard stuff if you like that sort of thing. The track with Lemmy "Shake your Blood" is superb.
