GCSE Exams....OK u guys.....

I been teaching primary school kids ICT for the last 2 years, on a voluntary basis. School bought ibooks an no teacher know how to use them, so I do it instead

I used computers for a long time now, thought if I wanted to be taken seriously though, I should get me some of them there qualifications.....
aherm....didnt have IT when I was at school.......

bah i never got to take ICT though i wanted to in GCSE

we used acorns and when we were introduced to this "amazing" software known as windows..which had stunning applications such as word and the more difficult program such as excel, most of the students knew more than the teachers.

oh yeah this year in my AS levels, a boys mobile went off during the exam and he got disqualified from all his exams. He is leaving the school now, mind you he never did deserve to pass i.e never turned up to most of the lessons etc.

cheat ur not cheating your self your cheating the ppl who make up the exams and things
thats where the exams are fuked up they put all this hipe into reviseing and sh!t... u can rember 2 types of things short term memory and long term memory long turn u can rember wot colour ur jumper ur gran nitted u when u were 7 for xmas and that e=mc2 and other bits of information and this is wot shud be tested not ur short term memory which u can cram as much sh!t into as u like.... like a phone no u just seen or where u left your phone last nite or any information u have abosered by reaading and rereading books which b 4 u start collage, uni or your new job u are going to forget again

you shud be tested on what you no not what u can rember after reading it the night b 4 the only good job the exmas results are useful for are having to read something then rite it down a day after which im sure there are not to many jobs but instead it can give us jobs that we are (on paper) suited for...

my gcse grades were w@nk and because of that i wont beable to get a good job

its not how well u can do in your exam its tho out the year that teachers teech you somthing because if they didnt y go to school get 1 person to give u txt book after txt book to read the night b 4

as I couldn't understand what cam wrote I'm not sure whether to agree or disagree with him, I'm not sure whether he was asking for an exam asking what colour jumper his gran knitted him for chirstmas when he was 7 or what. The different exams do test different things though, it's not all short term memory. When I did my GCSE's I managaed to get 4 A's and 5 B's without doing much work at all and as it's a 2 year course it isn't all exactly short term

In all other or most European countries the final exams if any are taken are only a part of the result/grade you are given.

In Germany constant asessment is made of every piece of writen work made by the the pupil over the year so If the pupil has a bad day on exam day all is not lost. I find the English system sucks because the the last 5 years of studies results all depends on one day.

4me2...you ever heard of the f*ck-up that is coursework?

we should go back to the old exam system...therefore you are not forced to constantly work hard throughout the year, and constantly meet deadlines for handing in immaculate pieces of work etc...

I did ok. Did no work and got 3 A*s, 5 As and 2 Bs. Shoulda and coulda done betta but at the end of the day its gonna get me to wer i want so all is gud. Well done Thak
