JEEEZZ! i first thought those screenshots were from a psone or so...!
just 1 question: this is fully software isn't it? i mean, as gba has no 3d hardware acceleration, this could be a SA-1 chip-like like those used on snes.
if this is the case FLA wont be much of use...

no, its a software 3d engine, although carts could be quite big (memory wise), good job they are bringing out a 1gig flash card

OMG that looks serious marvellous, there's some potential for some seriously cool psx ports with that as long as the framerate can handle it.. well impressed.

I don't know if you have to worry too much about the size of carts. GBA V Rally 3 has the best graphics around at the moment and is only a 4 megabyte cart - the same size as the smallest games currently available (I hope I got that size right or the pedants will come out of the woodwork).

Bitmaps take up more space than polygons - so unless the textures are very complex, with polygons you should get a lot more game for the same size carts.

Games created using the engine wont really be any larger than normal GBA games. New shots and video of the tech are shown at http://www.agbgames.com/ects.htm including one with audio

These are shots and videos from a GTA3 style demo that we put together for ECTS. We are actively seeking and negotiating contracts to produce games that directly utililse this technology. So hopefully you will see some games using this tech very soon.
