havent got it myself but this may be of interest

    Satellite T.V On Your PC
Why not use your PC to view digital satellite channels, listen to digital radio, record and playback digital TV or receive DVB data services such as 'Internet via Satellite ?

New technology now means that you can tune into digital satellite channels on your PC. With the special decoder card and software that we supply, you can be soon be up and running. No specialist knowledge of computers or satellite technology is required, only basic computer and D.I.Y skills.

    1. Mount satellite dish on a south facing outside wall.

    2. Install decoder card and drivers into PC.

    3. Install the software from the supplied CD to your hard drive.

    4. Adjust satellite dish to exact position using the signal strength metering software you have just installed on your computer.

    5. Sit back and enjoy a wealth of T.V programs and radio stations from all over Europe !

    HOW DOES IT WORK ?

Many T.V and radio stations broadcasting on the satellite network over Europe are known as 'Free to Air' channels, in other words, you do not have to pay a subscription to receive them. Our system takes advantage of this fact by allowing you to view these channels without the need for any special stand alone decoding equipment, all of the work is done by your PC and the software provided. You can even record these programs to your hard drive, in effect, using your PC as a digital video recorder !

Please note: You will find free software on the Internet (e.g.. MultiDec / ProgDVB) which allows you to unscramble and view subscription based channels without having to pay for them. Whilst our system is fully compatible with these programs, we do not condone their use.
system requires only a 166Mhz processor to function, these programs typically require at least a 300Mhz.
Get your stinkin' paws off me, you damn dirty ape!"
