it depends on what condition your abs are already in, i mean if you already have good abs and do regular sit ups then they dont really make much difference but if not then you will feel the difference.
They didnt do anything for me as i found that i got better results just doing 50 sit ups every other night as you dont have to do 200 situps a day to get good abs, but you have to remember that you might have the best abs in the world but if you dont get rid of the fat above then nobody would ever know.

Iv just brought one of those "Body Shapers". Great little thing, has 18 different exercises just to work out the abs. Do 20mins every other night and you will deffo notice the difference. :0 )
do sit ups burn fat off the belly aswell as building the abs?

Just make sure you have got the controls - I have been quite literally shocked by some funny git turning up the power of the shocks when I wasn't looking. Them rolling around laughing - and me rolling around in agony.

Not really, , i mean if you felt that you needed to lose weight from your arms you wouldnt do 200 hammer curls would you, as the same goes for ab workouts, you might have great abs underneath but untill you lose the fat (through the right diet and exercise) then nobody would know.Originally posted by webslinger2k

Yup. There's no such thing as spot reducing (burning fat from a certain area by doing a certain exercise). It's all down to cardio and diet.
However, if you have a bit of a stomach then toning up the abs can, in a lot of cases, make you look slimmer.

fookin hell i tried one of those muscle toners it hurt alot i tried to take it off and electrocuted my hand.. never use them

ive been using one of them body building belts for the last few days for 40 mina a time on top level....beside the fact im still twiching for 20 min afterwards my abs are wrecking so they must be good ill tell you if i get good results in the six weeks that it says on the box that i shud have a calvin klien model's abs
i been using one of those ab toners ( the frame ones ) for just over a week, tings are looking promising, i let u not know when i see some 6 packs
i got one of them new ones with 6 modes and 10 levels so u get 60 different work outs (aparantly) Been using it for 3 days now, cant notice major results but have noticed a change in the fat in my gut, i'll keep using it and i'll keep u updated.

I've had one for years, when I do use it my abs start to hurt as in extremely well exercised, but I can't say you see a big difference. When I have been going to the gym regularly and doing abdominal exercises as well as using an ems machine on my abs, it seems to make a big difference to the appearance of my stomach, I think with the regular exercise it helps get that six pack on show.
i use the ems belt and do upper body weights, its slowly getting better

Shouldn't really mention this but I saw a guy who decided to use one of these in an 'unsafe' manner.
I would certainly advise against using the device on your genitalia.

Guns! I am a regular body builder. i train Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Sunday. i do a range of Exercises. im 18. 11 stone and am 5'11. I always thought that u gain with in a few weeks. you can see the difference with in a couple ogf weeks but it starts to gain bout a month after. ive been training for bout 4 months now and my missus sez im like much as bigger than i was. the main parts that have gained are shoulders abs stomach and chest. my shoulders are huge and i luv em. whats the best work out for ya chest? thanx
